IF that load made the UK, it would have had a bigger impact than the 60s + acid.

Roughly 1.5 million doses of the substance. It's possible, but I don't think DMT has the longevity (the time of the trip) to really make people think abut things the way el does. With el, you're trapped in your subconscious for 6-8 hours. In that time, there's a lot to learn. In 15 minutes, it's too much to process at once. IMHO.

So i watched that video of that british guy doing dmt and he honestly didnt really seem to ever get that fucked up.. Ive always pictured dmt as being something that fucks you up beyond the point of conscious thought.. I know people have said its stronger then salvia and when i smoke salvia i cant even make out words, its hard to really make out anything thats really going on..

Did this guy just not do enough? Or whats the deal with that?

Ahh okay i see.. I guess i just always pictured it as something that stuck you to the ground and made it difficult to talk and what not... Honestly i cant believe they used that video as a refference in that article, that guy seemed to handle it fine and i doubt he has had much experience with psychedelics..

ive always wanted to try it too. and i like the idea of the short duration trip when its as intense as DMT is suppose to be. ive heard it takes awhile to piece ur trip back together. either way i wanna try it really bad.

One thing about it: (So I've heard...) It's a very finicky substance. If it gets too hot, it can convert from N-N-DMT to 5-MEO-DMT. Someone told me this once at a festival, and I've read it in passing elsewhere. Can anyone elaborate on this?

N,n DMT will melt and be destroyed if it gets to hot not convert to 5-MEO-DMT. You will need a different extraction or chemistry experience to synthesis 5-MEO-DMT.

Can you elaborate on the differences? So your saying the A/B extraction can only take out N,n?

There are other plant materials like cebil seeds that can be processed for other forms of the molecule... or you could lick a cane toad.

P.S I wonder how they determined the price because dmt is rearly sold on the street and the times I have seen it being sold the prices varied greatly.

The UK Border Agency recently intercepted 126 kilos of DMT being smuggled into Britain in 15 parcels from Brazil and Peru. Five found at the postal depot at Coventry Airport were heading for London.

It was powdered Mimosa Hostilis bark, not DMT. Also it was not being smuggled, it was being legitimately imported by ethnobotanical companies.

I made n,n DMT in my bedroom about a year ago and want to clarify some things about it here:

Assuming it was 120 kg of mimosa hostilis root bark:
30 gram extraction = 6 hits = roughly 50mg per hit
So 6x50=300mg per 30 g
120kg=120000g / 30 g= 4000 x 300mg = 1,200,000mg=1,2kg of pure crystal dmt giving 24000 hits

Difference between n,n DMT and 5-MEO DMT:
Wikipedia says: Although similar in many respects to its close relatives n,n DMT and bufotenin (5-OH-DMT), the effects are typically not as visual. Some users report experiencing no visual effects from it even at very high doses.[3]
Some report the effects to be unpleasant causing nausea and the feeling of being "sat on by an elephant".[4]

I vaporised DMT twice with a homemade pipe for it called "the machine". No burning of the lungs or such, obey the rule of the thumb: the flame never touches the DMT!! The effects begin so quickly it is completely overwhelming. IMO it cannot, in any way be compared to LSD or similar hallucinogens. I remember being quite scared and reminding myself everything was going to be okay and i was ready for this as i was holding the vapour in. I remember this very weird and amazing thing where your thoughts just seem to morph and change. Its so hard to explain by words, but its like your there thinking your prepared then the high pitched ringing comes on, ring finishes and you feel completely different. You can just feeeel the way it changes the brains functions and your thoughts start corresponding to patterns, colours etc.. Its an amazing drug and i have never seen anything like it!! I did ask afterwards if i ever breathed during the trip but i was apparently breathing steady and slowly... In Dr Strassmans book: DMT The Spirit Molecule, the effect it has on breathing is explained by DMT slowing our biological timers to such an extent that the time between 2 breaths seems an eternity!

And about the level of abuse etc... First time i took DMT i was shocked, second time i said i would never do any psychedelic substance ever again but now i think im ready to not get shocked but rather enjoy its effects!

The news article at the beginning of this post is complete and utter bullshit and pisses me off to an extent which i hate the fucking world... I would say after my DMT trips DMT changed something with me, it made me see things i normally dont. This isnt talking about spirits and dreams and shit but rather the way i visualise all the systems and patterns working around and inside me. I would never ever forget that experience!!

And finally i would have say just because DMT is stronger than LSD, Psilocybin etc it does not mean you are more likely to get a bad trip. I guess different people get effected differently on this tho so try and find out!!

Addition to post: As far as i know and all the research i did before such an intense drug, i read that amazingly there are no documented deaths. Upon reading from other sources there are some very rare cases of death and dmt-nexus explained that was brought on by fear; when you think about it some people die of heart attacks watching football so think of the whole life flashing before the eyes bit...

I also know that Dr, Strassman administered 400 intravascular doses of DMT to many candidates and they were all fine.
DMT is an AMAZING substance with an unknown function in the brain. It is synthesized by our pineal gland which is at a very important location in our brain with yet an undetermined function. The pineal gland also has one of the most complex defence mechanisms in our body and is said to be the most active organ upon death and release DMT as it decays or something.

Starssman also found out that babies born by sezarian (you know, when they cut the girl open to get the stuck baby out) were more likely to have a bad trip on DMT and thought maybe its released upon birth..


Dont let the media freak you out about this substance as they try and do it with every single one!

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE

A problem for some true DMT aficionados is the difficulty
involved in effectively delivering large doses—ideally without
leaving one’s lungs feeling like they’ve been coated with
caustic residue. For those who really want to get a 50 mg dose
or more, rather than just burning that much, there is finally
a solution. “The Machine” is an amazingly effective drug delivery
device that I recently test-drove. It is capable of holding
one or many doses, for one person’s repeated use or multiple
users. I was introduced to The Machine by an Australian
friend who, at the 2002 Burning Man, also taught me
about the benefits that can be derived by using mullein when
smoking tryptamines. The expectorant properties of mullein
help clear out the lungs after smoking, and it also permits
deeper inhalations without coughing during smoking. Mullein
is also useful for using 5-MeO-DMT due to additionally
permitting easier eye-balling of doses, via standardization.

The only materials needed to fashion The Machine are a small glass
bottle and a bit of extremely coarse steel wool, as is used for scrubbing
pans. For the bottle, a single-serving Hennessy Cognac bottle works
great, due to its long neck coupled with a handy pre-formed weak spot
in the bottom. After breaking or drilling a small hole in the bottom of
the bottle, a bit of steel wool is rolled into a plug and then pushed into
the neck. Any loose bits inside can be compacted gently by using a probe
inserted through the hole broken in the bottom. This is the finished
device ready to be charged.

To charge The Machine, enough for one or more good doses (the more
the better) is directly applied to the surface of the steel wool at the mouth
of the bottle. The neck of the bottle is then gently heated just enough to
cause the alkaloid to melt into the steel wool plug. If not intended for
immediate use or if intermittent use is desired the cap can be replaced
over the charge to protect it. Freshly applied DMT resin can be prevented
from contacting the cap by placing a small piece of paper between
it and the cap (rolling paper works well for this). The Machine
can also be charged for multiple users by placing a much larger quantity
on the inside of the plug by dropping it through the broken hole.
Charging is done the same way, by gently heating the neck until the
plug absorbs the alkaloid.

To use The Machine, simply point the neck downwards and heat the
steel wool plug from below with a lighter, while slowly inhaling through
the hole made in the bottom. (Take care not to overheat and ignite the
steel wool.) Rotating the bottle while heating will help it volatilize evenly.
The high surface area and heat distribution of the steel wool traps the
liquid alkaloid, both retaining it and driving it into vapor. This trapping
effect also permits the pipe to be simply set down, then picked up
and reheated, as needed.

There is little to no loss with The Machine and for some unknown reason
we have reliably found this pipe to be smoother on the lungs than
many far less efficient devices—particularly the glass “crack” pipes. The
amount of alkaloid that this device is capable of delivering must be experienced
to be believed. The bottle can be reused but the steel wool
should be replaced regularly. While The Machine works with many
materials, extracted Acacia alkaloid is highly recommended. — Justin

Note: Having recently tested The Machine, I give it my highest endorsement.
Previously the “burned plastic” taste and seared lung feelings from smoking a
regular DMT pipe had caused me to abandon smoking as an approach to ingesting
DMT. It was simply too painful and I never got a big enough hit to experience
much effect, frequently coughing out too soon the hit that I did get. For whatever
reason, vapor produced by The Machine wasn’t nearly as rough as that
smoked through a normal DMT pipe. And man, does this pipe deliver a punch!

For whatever reason, he did not have a breakthrough experience on DMT. There is no mistaking a breakthrough experience. It is truly a visionary compound. Beautiful and terrifying, awe-inspiring and humbling. You can experience an entire alternate lifetime/worldline (80yrs +) from birth to death all within 5 mins of the worldline where you are smoking DMT.

No potential for abuse I must say, getting one's world rocked isn't something that one likes to do everyday.
