My Perpetual Zero-Veg Op

LOL.. It's in the first post. I use Dyna-gro nutrients, all 4 products. I flood twice a day. I used to flood 5 times a day but that's just stupid.
You say all 4 products but can you elaborate please? Are you using foliage pro or the dyna-gro liquid grow?

thanks humboldt. Chronic is very easy to grow. They are vigorous from the moment they sprout in my experience.

Yes, clones with no veg. I'm three weeks away from another harvest.

what medium are you using? I have no idea if zero-veg would be effective in soil.

THE MUTHAFUCKIN CHRONIC

It's hard to believe these were only vegged for a week.

I'm running a lower finish than usual so the are a little yellow. PPMs are down around 450 now, just adding back plain water for two more weeks.

I'll update the mother/clone thing in a while.

Lots of good info in here.. I have a couple questions? 1. i may have missed this but, the run you did from seeds. How did it compare to the 12" clones and how long start to finish did it take you. Would you consider this a practical method of sog. I was thinking of using feminsed indica dom(something like the chronic,or a sweettooth like al used.) 2. I know the thread is vero veg op, but i see you do veg the clones for various amounts of time. how long after planting in rock do you like to swith to 12/12??

Yeah, ideally I'm not vegging at all, but the last batch of clones took long to root and were kind of puny. So I gave them an extra week of veg. I'll probably do that from now on anyway. Call in almost-zero veg then.

The plants from seeds are still around. I'm just making clones from them. I'm almost ready to start flowering another batch and I have 25 more cuts rooting. Winter is coming; the busy season!\\

It's a very practical method of running a sog. The easiest way to control the height of your entire grow is a clone sog.

The mothers have doubled in size since I put them under the HPS two weeks ago. They were starting to get skimpy under the CFLs. I need cuttings! Edit: there's a strong fan blowing on the plant in the upper left. It's fine, just sheltering the others :)

The 8 White Russian and NLxSkunk tops all rooted. They were some of the smallest clones I've ever made. The empty pot is a chronic that didn't make it. Usually I just throw those dinky tops away. But now they grown quite a bit and are about ready to go into flower. Maybe one more week because of light availability and I'll have to change the res so I can move them into another room; time to do that anyway. Still going back and forth over getting a tent to put the mothers and cloners in so I can keep it all in one room.

And I've got the cloner full with 25 assorted cuts; russian, skunk and chronic. Some of them have already rooted and I'll be throwing them into flower pretty soon too to make up for the slow summer months. Time to kick it up.

It just goes on and on and on :hump:

36 x 22 x 19. They are perfect for what I'm doing. I have 3 right now, I plan for one more. They are easy to clean, move around, break down, whatever. I buy them with pots and hydroton included for$220.

I guess I'm just going to flower those 8 right now, but I should have another tub full of clones ready to go in two weeks. Like I said, I'm going into high gear for the season.

Nice setup!

Do you use a water chiller?

i bought a 4x4 flood table with a 40 gallon rez and a few months ago and did my first hydro grow and did realize before hand that the water temp has to stay at between a certain temp, anyways i had to put frozen water bottles in the rez twice a day.

I've never needed a water chiller. With multiple res's it's hard so see how that wouldn't get real complicated. My basement floor is always pretty cool and my res temps are never over 70.

lucky you, my rez would rise to 80 if i did not keep frozen bottles in it.

so i switch to soil, i am going to buy a water chiller as soon i finish up my outdoor.

i like growing hydro over soil indoors because there so much more you can do and thats real interesting to me.

your pots only have holes on the bottom?

Yup, 5 inch pots. pretty standard.

Here's how it looks on day 62 of flowering. I didn't bother to stake all the plants and they can't support the weight of the colas anymore. But, I figure they get plenty of light lying on their sides too.:-P I really should chop these soon. I need to free up the tray!

I chopped all the Chronic but two today.

I have a dozen skunk and white russian ready to go. Just got some housekeeping to do. I'll have another batch flowering in a week and another two weeks after that. :)

How bad do these plants smell? I'm planning to do a very simmilar op, but I'm worried about how bad it will smell outside the house... Not sure if it will even smell that far away though. I was planning to use a large tent, and then use 2 simmilar ebb and flow systems like you have there... (carbon filter, etc.)
So, how bad to they smell? Thanks.

I've never had any smells outside my house. The stinkiest time of all is when you are trimming it. I use a 6 inch Phresh filter with a 6" vortex fan which also cools my lights (actually, I'm not running any of that right now, my flowering plants are just getting started. I'll run a filter when I notice something.
