I wouldn't spend the money on the three pack unless you feel like it, just buy one for veg and one for flower. Do not mix them and make sure it's for hydro.

Use some SUPERthrive with the tap water until your nutes arrive. You can buy it at any Lowes or any garden center.

I got all of them and if you go to their website it shows what nutes to mix in certin weeks of your grow.

general hydroponics has a good line of all in one nutrients
using the flora nova and flora bloom with no problems
check their website for good info and even a schedule basic layout

This is old so I might be late, but really you only need the Grow Big and the Big Bloom. However, getting the tri-pack makes more economical sense. It's about the same price, and it will last you for a few grows. Plus, a little more prolific budding.
Oh, and for those who grow both soil and hydro... The FoxFarm hydroponic nutrients can be used for soil. You just dilute, and adjust the pH (if you must). It's probably more cost-effective than getting the soil nutrients too.

Thanks for the bit about the light cord.....that will help me in my project when the new light hood is available from aerogrow... I have been growing from seed for a few weeks. Good results. All three plants are about 4 inches tall. One new trick I learned was to place a piece of wood under the front part of the base. this tilts the unit back a little and allows me to put more water in the reservoir.
i used all the nutes provided with the AG. I bought it used from craigslist and most of the nutes were for flowers....worked just fine...now i am using Ecogrow 14-6-17 N-p-k...just started a few days ago.
one other project i am working on is a self grow box that will actually allow the plant to grow to 24 inches tall. i was inspired by those computer grow boxes but there is no way that you could get a worth while grow when the plant is limited to 1ft max of growth....ultimately i plan on getting an old refrigerator ..gutting it and removing most of the hardware and converting it to a grow room..

I dont know if people still want to know but I found realy good seeds for sale at Marijuana Strains Pictures and Descriptions . I was also wondering a few things
1. if i trim the tops to bring light to the bottom, prevent burning and enjoy my hard earned harvest a bit early will it grow back where i trimmed it.
2. what kind is the best to grow short but wide
3.my aero garden is on backorder so i started a bit early just to see what would happen not realy putting it in a good environment or taking care of it besides watering it and my leaves are only on the second set and my stem is realy tall and skiny, so it was leaning off the edge of the pot and the wight of the leaves stretched the thin stem to the point of barely being able to stay atached, i moved it just in time but is it worth the effort to continue on with it or should i just start all over when i get the ag
4. one a different site it said that if its too humid you might get mold and the aero garden is 100percent humidity
5. im getting the deluxe with a 24in hight extension, how much will i probely yield(please give 2 estamates, 1 for the first time and 1 for the second time, im a very quick learner)

my AG is in the basement. if it were going to mold, then i think i would have it by now. one thing i have done tho to prevent root rot is to put a few drops of peroxide per liter ( two cap fulls in a full reservoir) . i have a little prob with algae growing on the sponge that i used in the seed pod, but other than that i havent had any issues.

Hydrogen peroxide is great for killing bacteria off for sure. low dosages
doesnt hurt the plant at all...
just keep the black stick thing out of the way by removing one side and setting it more inward instead of right below the two front pods worked for me. then they seemed to grow under it and not around it.

if you dont like the idea of using peroxide, you can get "no damp" from walmart. does the same thing but more expensive.

ive never changed the water in the reservoir. i mix up the water and nutes in a old milk jug and just add the mixture to the reservoir as it gets low. my plants still look great. no brown or yellow spots...just pesky algae on the growing sponge

im planning on flowering at 3-3 1/2 weeks. SO i just set the timer 12/12 and theyll grow?

Yep, just set the timer to 12/12. At the top nodes, males will start to develop balls or pollen sacks, and they should appear first. Females will develop two little white hairs on their nodes that will eventually form buds. Check out my thread for some good pics, I had a few males before my female started showing. Also, search and read the forums... they are more than help.
