Well guys, back in the 70's my uncles sister used to grow marijuana in her own shit. Yeah its good idea i know, but as it came out, Jimmy had been lieing to me, she never had MJ plants, only tomatoes and shitshrooms !

Hmm.. I'd say a few things
1. Drip clean does not STOP salt build up from occuring. It does HELP in keeping it at bay.
2. Don't use Bloombastic with H&G (for those of you wondering).
3. LEARN TO MIX YOUR NUTRIENTS CORRECTLY.
4. Magic Green does nothing for me. Maybe I use it wrong?
5. The subject of adding CalMag seems to be a hot topic. YES you should be supplementing with calmag, use more with R/O, and less with tap but in most cases you should definetely be using some.
Just a few I could think of off the top of my head. I'll post more as I think of them

Right on Brotha, I am glad I could share a little experience, with this thread in particular. Funny, I agree with you on all of the 5 things you've learned. I don't use magic green anymore either, I use a different line for foliar. Once again man, great thread idea and the knowledge I have learned on here.

So I finally got my hands on the H&G line. Bought the entire line while with base Soil A&B. Gonna start using it next cycle as I was told it'd be a bad idea to change mid-cycle... 
Can't wait to try it!!! Does the feed chart on H&G's website work well for you all or do you use modified versions of it like the aussie one above?

Hey, how should I use CalMag with the rest of the H&G line? I'm in week 1 of veg. I made the mistake of feeding my transplants the dose on the feed chart. "Big Mistake" I have burned my babies and had to kill a few of them. I started flushing with just water but they are still looking burnt and crispy. I'm seeing the leaves curl and seeing a copper color rust that is appearing inside the leaves along the center on the older leaves. I'm sure the coco is staying too wet because of the fresh water flushes in my bucket system. The new growth has slightly burned tips. I'm letting everything dry out before I try anything else. Does anyone have any advice?

Whats everybody here in the H&G thread! I was recently gifted the whole soil A&B lineup except the shooting powder which i will get before i run these nutes. Like every nute i use or plan on using i do a little research on first so that why im subscribing to this thread. I have NO EXPERIENCE with H&G nutrients for that matter even with synthetic nutrients. Ive always grown organically. im using EJ now in my grow, but i am really excited to switch to a better nute company that will give me better results. Earth Juice is a very basic nutrient reg. and you really cant go wrong.
so anyways, ive read a lot of this thread already but almost 60 pages is a lot. LOL so defintely expect some questions from me guys. later

I use H & G aqua flacks with sunshine advanced # 4 Mix and i wick 10 gl of water to 6 to 7 plants every 3 to 4 days in a 4X4 tray in cloth smart pots under a 1000 watt light, I use bloomblastic instead of shooting powders with a little cal mag and sweet raw mineral supplement alone with multizyme, root acc, and bud xl. here is my make shift feed chart. Would like a second opinion on what i am doing.

So what cal/mag does everyone use? What have you had great success with? Or more importantly, what failed miserably?
Believe it or not I am in week 5 with massive flowers on the San Fernando Valley OG Kush, with no cal/mag with R/O. But they do show signs of a cal/mag deficiency, but it isn't so bad. I am going to start using my old jug of CalMag Plus by Botanicare, because I'm sure this will be effecting my yields, but still, the whole grow has been one hell of a ride.
I am currently using the complete House and Garden Cocos line up with all the boosters and what-not, except the Algen Extract, somebody told me I don't need it because of roots excelurator, but I'm going to buy it anyways for my veggies.
Right now I'm filling an entire 600w light with 3 plants, and the canopy is amazing. I may post bud porn if I get some great responses on which Cal/Mag supplement to use.

LMAO, so to check out some of this amazing bud porn you talk of, we must give some great responses on cal-mag supplementation.
I will give you a response on cal-mag because I really want to see this bud porn. All the synthetic cal-mag supplements are virtually identical, so you cannot go wrong with anyone them. Cal-Mag and Magi-Cal are two of the most popular ones.
Other that, you have choice with organic cal-mag. Your best bet would be to go with magi-cal as it syntheic and fool proof to use. Magical is identical to cal-mag, but cheaper. I guess use what you got then get magical.

But that was a fantastic response, and after doing a little research in this thread, MagiCal seemed to be a good idea, but you totally cleared that up for me. Besides, I fracking love the Technaflora line-up, great in DWC!
Anyways, as I promised, bud porn. Plus a little bit of my cal mag problem. Luck you, my lights go out in 15 min, so I just snagged 'em in a hurry with my phone, so they aren't the clearest pictures. Only three plants under the hood, "just a little" LST, lol. This is day 4 of week 5 btw.

Anyways I am glad things are clearer now. Your plants look healthy other than nute lockout to due lack or excess. Since you haven't been hitting them with cal-mag, I'd agree with you on it being due to lack of cal-mag.

After my very first round I have a pretty good eye just about every problem possible, as I encountered them all. Haha. The magnesium has to be it. Calcium too, probably. No way on earth it's excess, it's week 5 of flower and I just kicked the ppm's up to the 1000's today. These SFV's are minimalists, but they don't look their best, they went dry on me today while I was enduring a two day dental treatment, so they were still perking up in those pictures.

Sorry to hear about the dental problems. I totally understand what you mean by it not being excess.
SFV OG is one tired plant, unless you have a seriously wicked hook up, only Cthulhu knows what generation the poor girl is on. I fucking love smoking OG's, out of 100's of strains I have tried in Cali in the last decade, OGs are truely my fav. As much as I like to smoke them I fucking hate to grow them with a passion. Anyways you could probably tell I am stoned again as I am blabbing on and on. It is 4 am and I am still toking on sour diesel listening to dub-step. Better catch some zzz. I know H&G makes a product that contains Silica, Fulvic, and Humic acid. But it is not available in the US. I don't think it's for sale anywhere. I know they give it out to the official House & Garden greenhouse's in Amsterdam, but not sure if they sell it. I got it off my local H&G aficionado, and let me tell you, "Holy fucking shit!" This stuff is fantastic! The sweet smell, the incredible swell on my nugs, it is simply too soon for me to be getting this rate of swelling! I have explosive new pistil growth every day, I don't know if it will ever end.
I know that Cocos and Aqua Flakes A/B don't have any fulvic or humic acids, I know that none of the boosters have any of that stuff, but I have not ever purchased the Algen Extract, so I cannot confirm on that, I also have never been able to check out Bud XL because my H&G aficionado hooked it up with two free samples on that, and it doesn't have a label on it. That guy is fucking fantastic. I have never used Soil or Hydros A/B, so I can't confirm on that either.
Because the secret product I received came in an old style bottle of a different product, I have no idea exactly what is in there. I know for a fact it is a shit load of Carbs and Silica, but not positive on the Fulvic and Humic acid, pretty sure though. Just to be safe I always water with Liquid Karma and Ful Power in between feeding and boosters, instead of flushing. You should add Protekt by DynaGro if you need silica. Final flushing is still just sugars and water.
Be on the look out for a new product coming out on the market called "The Sparks," or something similar, the name isn't concrete yet. It is being made by and sold at a local hydro store. It is just a dry complex of sugars and amino acids, refined down to hell. You can use it the entire grow, but it's mainly for flowering, of course. I use it instead of my secret product during my final flush, because I am unsure of what else in this secret product. Anyways, it really, really helps with that last bit of frosting, and makes everything taste like it's candied, I'm pretty stoked on it. Makes a cool fizzy sound when you mix it up.
Should be in your local stores by mid next year. I hope.
Also, I use Mykos, and my bacteria doesn't give a shit about my air stone, and even if your Great White doesn't need carbs, you should always be loading your plants up with them. I don't ever back off. haha.
