I was wondering if there is such thing as too much co2 for plants, at the moment, i am using the yeast and sugar for CO2 and i have put it into a 1L Mountain Dew Bottle and I was wondering if it would be bad to add another 1L bottle producing more co2? Thanks Guys

i don't know much about adding CO2 to plants....but i was thinking couldn't you just take a paintball gun and fire blanks (no paintballs) hence putting co2 in the air? or am i just being a stoner about this one??

I believe its done thru foliar feeding, a misting of the leaves, usually done before 10am.

I'm using the same method but with a one gallon bottle, and I'm thinking maybe I need more. But what a pain in the ass to shake those things several times a day.

Well, I hope you all realize that if your running an exhaust fan while doing the co2 thing, your waisting your time, also if your room temp is not 85 to 90, again you are waisting your time, but be careful a around 95 growth halts.

i use a kerosene oil based lamp. Shut down the vents and let it burn for an hour at a time... they love it.

My temps 78 - 82. No exhaust fan. Realize that it would be a waste otherwise. I thought I read that high co2 enrinched air will allow for growth at much higher temps. Is that not true?

Yes it is true, thats what I said in my previous statement. I have found that my plants like it around 90, and they insist on being well fed too.

Any thing over 1500 PPM is to much. if you are over that you can and will kill your plants, If you don't no how many PPM you are running in the room you can by a simple CO test kit from your local hydroponic store fore but 20$, or if you have the cash you can git a digital tester that runs any where from 150$ to 480$. I am not trying to discourage you from using co2 it is a good thing if used properly.

gee Jason, I hate to disagree with you, but that info is wrong. 1500 ppm is what you are aiming for, however, commercial growers regularly raise there ppm to 15,000 as a way to kill of any infestation. Even at 15,000ppm the plants are doing fine.

ohh shit, i read the second part wrong. My bad. So at my current temp, 78-82, is the added co2 not going to be as beneficial or effective than at a higher temp?

They so like it a little hotter, so yes. you need to be on top of feeding them too as they will require more nutes.

80 is where it starts to be beneficial, closer to 90 is where it wants to be at, to be the most beneficial.

I have been reading and I decideded to use the sug, water, and active dry yeast in a milk jug put a hole in the cap let sit and shake it up sever times aday so I was thinking this is a little pain in the ass so I took one of the milk jugs that has been alive for about 3 days and put the juice in a humidifier and let me tell you you want to talk about co2 the whole house smelled like co2
yeast what ever but not bud my brother came over and I dumped about a case of beer in a bucket and droped in a hose and told my brother I was making beer lol so my plants seem to love the co2 in the humidifyer well what do you think?/?
