i've been growing a long long time, and you would be surprised at the great looking plants that are nothing special to smoke. don't count those chickens until they are hatched.
No worries dude. Ive been in this game along time also so I know what you mean, not counting my chickens at all. In the end its about how it smokes. The 'in a week' statement was directed more at early vigor, which is usually a sign of good things too come.......

Just trying to figure out if I was the only dumbass or not. Not answered yet but on our way to figureing out...... LOL But this is it for me this winter. Just gonna chill and grow. Plenty of sharing to follow. Back to the basics............. Keep your ear tuned here Bro, its gonna be fun.
Not tryin to kiss ass or anything but don't think dumbass would be the word I used. Curious sounds better! lol I'm definately here for the show. I gotta see what the hell these beans are all about so I'm pulling up a chair and enjoying a nice P/R buzz.

Peace

G-13 Update...

One of the things that I always wondered about when it came to high dollar beans. Are they fresh, do they rotate stock?:?: Or do they sit around and wait for a sucker such as myself to drop the dough to buy them?:dunce: Just a couple of the questions that have rattled around in my mind. Early off they have proved possibly worthy. From fridge to peat pellet to this in under 48hrs. 3 out of 5 anyways and 1 of the 2 remaining pellets is showing a bulge.

The other 2 were up in the next 12 hrs. All look healthy and are now in 1 qt pots.
So speaking of pots here is my new medium mix. I am now using Fafard C-1P. Its 80% peat and 20% perlite, nothing else. And VERY sterile. No bugs or fungus. Dry and liquid gallons are confusing. So all of my gallon measurements are made with a 1 gallon tupperware pitcher. Makes it simple for me, scoop, gentle tap to settle and thats a gallon too me. To every gallon of base mix I add the following:

1/2 gal worm castings
1 Tablespoon each:
greendand
rock phosphate
azomite
kelp meal
blood meal
bone meal
high P guano
high N guano
rare earth
1/2 Tablespoon epsom salts
2 Tablespoons dolomite
2 qts perlite

For seedlings I mix it 50-50 with just some straight C-1P. Some strains I know that can handle a bit hotter medium can be put into uncut mix from seed. The first watering is a casting tea to kick things off and just rain water for the next few weeks. I do use some blackstrap also from time to time.

Plants 1,2 and 5 look to be more Indica dominant and show more color. Plant 3 has no color and looks to be more Sativa dominant. Plant 4 is kinda inbetween.

Going old school on the lighting. They were under T-8's for the first week and are now under 400 HPS, Eye Hortilux Enhanced Spectrum, for the remainder of veg. They will stretch a bit during veg but less in flower so it all kinda evens out. Most of the time that is. Every now and then it backfires and you end up with some really lanky plants. We'll see I guess.
I also have a few other plants in the flower room so I will be able to provide a bit of bud porn during the boring veg/cloning period of the G-13's.

Happy Trails...

Thanks DJ and glad to have ya. I grow for myself so at the very least I will get 400 bucks worth of smoke and more beans to play with, so its all good. Not really that big a risk if you think about it. Unless its your first grow. Now that would be Brass Balls! lol
