They definately looking nice and bushy I cant wait to see what kind of buds its gonna produce
yep - I'm transplanting to 5 gallon pots today (from 3 gallon) - i will wait 10 more days, then flip to 12/12.Kiki well technially I don't have SLH the breeder I got them from swears thier only super skunk (I say only in relation to how much better from what I've heard SLH is) but, to answer your question probably in about 2-3 weeks...the reason being I just transplanted a week or so ago and want to really build a solid root base up again.
there's a post on RIU about transplanting -- if you follow the directions-- your plants will have no shock or disturbance... I've transplanted 3 times this grow (yes, one of my many newbiness mistakes), but my plants have never showed even the slightest signs of slowed growth.... so for me 10 days will be fine....sounds like a plan kiki...I would almost say wait 14 days but don't think it will make that big a difference....btw great info on that hygrozyme..def going to get some.
Great info thanks that will help me out in the long run as wellYou want as little stress as possible during the flowering phase. Transplanting or doing anything drastic like this in the flowering phase will reduce your harvest. It's not like in veg where your plant has time to re-acclimate to its surroundings. Flowering has a set amount of time (dependent on the strain of course) and doing anything drastic will reduce yield. Transplanting for a 3rd time during veg seems a little overboard, unless you're trying to veg to like 3 ft. before you flower. When you transplant before flowering you should give you plant about 5 days to start really poking through and get a foothold into the new medium before you send them off to the races. Using a b vitamin supplement while transplanting is also recommended, something like superthrive or any specific b vitamin supplement.
hey 420- papertowel method to rockwool cube - rockwool cube into soil in a 3x3 square platic "pot" if you will (more like square plastic flimsy thingie)... anyway, from there into 1 gallon pots, then into 3 gallon pots, and tonight putting into 5 gallon pots. (newbie f**kup). But - NEVER any slowed growth or problem, as I followed the instructions here on RIU where you pot your current pot inside the new pot, (so you're pre-packing the soil around the old pot so that it's already molded for you) - then you pull the plant out of the old pot, and slide right in to new molded pot.... it's perfect and doesn't disturb your roots.kiki what pot size did you start in..I started in a 6'' diameter and am now in a 12'' diameter although I would have loved to have broken it down more (maybe from 6-8-12) But I don't think 3 transplants is a newb mistake. Also don't know if you are going to transplant during flowering but from I've read it's not recommended (although maybe if I read this post you elude too it would give me a better insight into the transplant process). I may end up going with 5 gallons myself simply b/c I have to let them veg longer than I want too but I can't do diddly about it atm. Can't wait to see what kind of buds you get particularly the freebies.
The correct way of doing that is the completely cut the bottom off the pot. You can't just wait for the little side holes to let roots grow into the new medium, it would take like a week. Why not just go from the 1 gallon during veg and toss into the 5 gallon or even the 3 gallon during flower?hey 420- papertowel method to rockwool cube - rockwool cube into soil in a 3x3 square platic "pot" if you will (more like square plastic flimsy thingie)... anyway, from there into 1 gallon pots, then into 3 gallon pots, and tonight putting into 5 gallon pots. hey t0rn... I think maybe you misunderstood me.... I didn't plant pots inside of pots.... I was referring to creating a mold of the old pot inside the new bigger soil/pot so that everything pulls out smooth and doesn't disturb the roots - and I didn't cut any pots... if that makes sense. The correct way of doing that is the completely cut the bottom off the pot. I would hate to cut the bottom off my 1 or 3 gallon containers to put them on top of a 5 oe 3 gallon container, they're kind of expensive. If you were talking about putting grow bags on top of grow bags with the bottoms cut off then I would be concerned with the stability of the thing.
I think about that when im blazing sometimes I want to make a pot that has like dried cocoon the bottom and that would somehow detach once you place it.in the bigger pot give it a twist to unlock it the medium stays in the pot comes up and can open up invade its a big bushy planthey t0rn... On a side note, you're right- I should have just went from rockwool to 1 gallon, and then to 5 gallon..... but that was my mistake as it is my first grow. I have 6 new ladies coming right behind my grow now and they went from rockwool to 1 gallon pot. they will be put in 5 gallon pots in a while -- so I won't be mnaking the same mistake twice.
Take care.
I was pretty ripped when I wrote that, clearly misunderstood you.hey t0rn... I think maybe you misunderstood me.... I didn't plant pots inside of pots....
