A Grow to Pass the Time. (aka waiting for my seed order)

I believe those are new branches starting. I only say that because they are green-ish. Pistils are unmistakeably white.

Well I can't really tell if the nitrogen deficiency is going away. It definitely seems like it went through a growth spurt. Good new growth on top, even though it's a yellowish-green. I can tell you that the yellowing hasn't spread any further. It's already turned completely up towards the light after the LST last night. I might even have to tie her down further before lights out tonight.

Whatd'ya think. :bigjoint:

I really have to buy another dSLR at some point. I can't stand the color this shitty camera captures.

Well the plant is looking great. The new growth is nice and green. It's coming in quick actually! A little too quick... I didn't notice it touching my lights today so the tips got a little burnt. :? Poor girl.

Anyway let me know what you think!

My baby is recovering awesomely. Nice new growth. I'm considering topping it before I do any more LST work. I'm thinking if I can snip it low to get 2 main colas I can LST them around the rim of the container.

Do you think it would be smart to top since I'm flowering? Or should I just leave it as is.

It may seem slightly odd, but I almost find it more satisfying to watch a plant recover from trauma than to see it veg out; anyone can veg a plant, but it takes a little know-how to diagnose and treat an issue like this effectively and you always end up learning a lot. Plus it's just plain cool to see nature do its thing as a direct result of a small change in growing technique. Neat! The plant is looking wonderful!

Any yellow on the new growth is due to my shitty camera. :blsmoke:
Looking really nice. I think your plant is just about caught up to mine size-wise due to my defoliation. It's a race!!

Not odd at all. I'm right there with ya, its a moment of satisfaction, especially when it's your baby that's sick! I'm glad she (still hoping) is getting better. I'm having ph issues though which is annoying.

Size wise maybe but yours has a MONSTER stem. Shits thicker than a sharpie!

Haha, just about! It's kind of fucked-up looking though (perfectly healthy, but grew strangely)... I'll try to get a good picture of it tonight. You will lawl. Hmm, pH issues should be pretty easy to fix, no?

I might have jumped the gun on it being an issue. Someone pointed out in my other thread that it's a normal dip. :shrugs: It looks healthy that's what matters now.

Definitely post a picture of that stem. In the picture in your thread it almost seemed like you put masking tape on it. I looked through the thread twice trying to find somewhere you snapped it on accident and taped it back together haha. Reminds me of frankenstein.

What do you think... am I stretching a bit?

Are these preflowers or just the beginning of new growth?

Some decent undergrowth I think. At least for my setup. I don't have as much light penetration as I'd really like.

Maybe a tad, but it doesn't look like you're stretching it enough to warrant *necessary* action. How far away is your light?

Sure look like pre-flowers to me! I don't know why there would be more growth already at that undeveloped node.

Looking pretty nice. Keep in mind you could always take off a couple of the big fan leaves if they're blocking too much light. The plant won't really care that much, and I'm sure the undergrowth will love it.

Do you have a pair of socks tattooed to your finger?

Oh, and it looks like my funky looking stem was a victim of stem rot. Guh. Contemplating a chop :(.

I keep the light no more than 1.5" from the canopy. I still haven't picked up twin socket adapters, so I'm only running... 69w of CFLs. I have 72w more I can add as soon as I pick up the adapters.

I thought about taking off the lower leaves that yellowed from the N deficiency, but I'm on the fence about it. I don't want to stress the plant too much, it's already poor genetics (mostly came from a hermie).

Haha. Yes I do. I'm from Mass, living in the land of one of our biggest division rivals.

I also have the Boston "B" on my other finger. They're on my middle fingers so when I'm at the stadium and everyone's talking shit to me for wearing boston gear I can flip em the birds and show them the Boston pride. :)

You're kidding me!! That's terrible man, keep me updated. I don't want to see you have to chop.

Beautiful growth. She's coming along nicely.

Here are two, possibly trouble, spots. Any idea what the deal is?

This one could possibly be semi-burnt from the light... My girl said it was touching the light when she checked on it yesterday.

Gotcha :). That'll help out handily, I'm sure!

I'm slightly paranoid that my feminized seeds are going to turn into hermies because of all the weird experimental crap I do to my plants; I did actually find a couple (read 2) immature seeds in my last harvest (out of over an oz, so no biggie), but my grows are much more effectively regulated now so with any luck the next one will stay female :-P.

A-ha! A red pair of socks, Boston Red Sox... for some reason I didn't put two and two together! Hehe. Nice strategy :).

*cough*... Ho hum.

Light burn would definitely be my guess for the second area with the browned leaf edge, but I'm not sure about the lone yellow spot. Everything I can find about yellow spotting has to do with spots that are like the concentration of freckles on a redhead. Hrrm. Have any more spots popped up in the interim, or has this one improved or gotten bigger? Is it possible that the leaf could have been physically pinched or damaged a little in that spot?

The plant keeps looking better and better! Oh and hey, I think my Attitude order will be arriving today -- Huzzah! Any news on your next batch?

Wooo! Sorry for the late response as usual -- have you tried Attitude's guaranteed options? They will send your seeds with any number of things for a few bucks extra (I got my LSD seeds with a t-shirt for example) and add a "guaranteed" clause to the shipment; If it doesn't arrive to you within 21 days they will send another order at no cost. The t-shirt I got is white with a big playing card on the front. It is a jack with a cannabis leaf as the "suit," he's smoking a j and there's a big "420" in the middle. Pretty sweet! I think it's sort of a grab-bag of weed-related shirts. You can specify the size.

I've ordered from attitude before with the guaranteed options but the prices are ridiculous. over $60 for 2 seeds (one was a freebie LOL). I'm going to buy a pack of 10 Vortex seeds for $70 and less than $10 shipping. I'll never order from attitude again.

Harsh, man! My last order was just under $100 for ten seeds plus three freebies (so thirteen total) and a shirt. Mind if I ask what seedbank you ordered from this time (customs letter order)?

It's been a while! Any news?

What happened to your plants?!?! Any buds?? Any pics? Hehe.

:peace:
A friend of mine got his house raided (he wasn't a member here or anything) so I got a bit paranoid and stopped posting updates. The plant finished out at 13 grams dry. It was only bag seed so the genetics weren't too great. I had a few issues with nutrient deficiencies also. That on top of going 12/12 from the start I was surprised I even got 13 grams off of it. I was happy, since it was mostly an experiment. No pics of the finished plant, but I think I have a picture of the dried buds somewhere.

I've had two grows since this one, and the next one I think I'm ready to start posting it here again. I am holding some equipment for a friend, including his 90w LED Ufo light, so I'm going to try that this time around and see what I can do. I think I'm going to pick up some autoflowering strains to try with it. I just need to pick up a good carbon filter, and some nutes before I give it a go.
