Indica seed recommendations

Heres what i'm looking for
-indica or mostly indica
-grows well in soil
-I'll be using a 400w mh/hps with side cfls
-good taste
-short flowering time
-fairly easy (i've heard some strains like SLH can be awesome, but at the hands of an expert)

I'm not too concerned with yield or potency(although they don't hurt), I just want something with a nice flavor. I'm currently thinking HighGrade Seeds NL #5 or blueberry, Sensi seeds maple leaf indica or barney's farm LSD.

I recommend Sweet Seeds Cream Caramel. Taste great, easy to grow, and a nice producer. It's a cross of Maple Leaf Indica. It's the shit IMO. But out of your choices I'm also curious about the Maple Leaf since i grew out the Cream Caramel.

Have you checked nirvana...there bubblecious or aurora indica are both good....
Those are excellent choices.

I also found their Hindu Kush and Super Skunk to be very fine smoke on the indica side as well.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Mr Nice Seedbank - Medicine Man
Strain: Medicine Man
Breeder: Mr. Nice
Location: indoor, outdoor, greenhouse
Type: mostly indica
Flowering: ~60 days
No feminized seeds.
A proven Medical marvel for those in need of high levels of the most active cannabinoids such as CBD. Almost toxic at times, so handle with care and don't abuse the medicine, man . It has won many awards since its introduction as the white rhino in the late 90's. An incredible strong genetic heritage stemming from a Brazilian sativa/South Indian hybrid combined to a prodigious-yielding Afghani. It is in the Widow family and a proven champion for the sick and terminally -ill patients. For those who prefer indoors, then expect an incredibly resinous and compact Indica look from this plant. It has an expected flowering time of 56 to 60 days. For outdoors in the northern hemisphere expect harvest around October and in the southern hemisphere by May. The yield should be at least 600 grams a square meter… but be careful how you handle the Medicine, Man!

Family of breed: Afghan x Brazilian Sativa / South India
Breeder: Shantibaba's
Preferred medium: Bio and Hydro, Indoors and outdoors/greenhouse
Expected yield: indoor 600 g/m2 g/h & outdoor 450/600 g/plant
Flowering period: Indoor expect it to be completed in 56 to 65 flowering days.In the northern hemisphere it should be completed by October and in the southern hemisphere by late April to May.
Recommendations: For the inexperienced growers to the most advanced cultivator.
Special Notes: It was also known as White Rhino when it was first released…a tribute to Denis Peron's (art.215) for Medical growers.

Sagarmatha Seeds - Slyder
Strain: Slyder
Breeder: Sagarmatha
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: indica
Flowering: ~58 days
No feminized seeds.
This Indica plant produces dense, crystallized buds with a strong aroma. Originally developed from seeds obtained in Afghanistan, the strain was crossed with a potent Northern Light to make it possible to be cultivated indoors.

This variety is superb for indoor production because of low smell and high yields with punch.

She produces a strong lethargic stone that induces an imagined paralysis or weightiness to the feet. Persons often will "slide" their feet instead of lifting them, usually from the television to the kitchen and back again. Hence the name Slyder. Best enjoyed around the house on lazy Sundaze. So have a smoke another toke, and slide into another dimension.

Type:: Indica
Vegetate until: 4 - 7 internodes. Clip center cola.
Flowering time: 55 - 60 days.
Average height: 1 meter
Yield: 300 - 325 grams / m² (dried, indoor)
High: extremely relaxing, ideal before going to sleep

Sagarmatha Seeds - Mangolian Indica
Strain: Mangolian Indica
Breeder: Sagarmatha
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: indica
Flowering: ~60 days
No feminized seeds.
Third Prize Winner HighLife Cup 2005
Rocking the Grey Area Coffeeshop for more than four years, her reputation for flavor and strength has become world-renowned. A Sister to Slyder, this variety produces a mostly pure Indica with a fantastic mango bouquet and savoury taste. She is similar to Slyder in potency, but she is much more fragrant. Serrated, sativa-like leaves and beautiful orange pistils dot the crystallized Indica buds. The stone is long lasting and lethargic. A sample grown outdoors (in Hungary) was as beautiful and potent as many of the fantastic flowers from Northern California that I have had the privilege of smoking!

Great for those nonmotivational daze, a most pleasurable smoke.

Type: Indica, indoor and outdoor
Vegetate until: 4 - 7 internodes. Clip center cola
Flowering time: 55 - 60 days
Average height: 1 meter
Yield: 300 - 325 grams / m² (dried, indoor)
High: lethargic and hallucinogenic
Taste: sweet fruit

Sannie's Seeds - Herijuana
Strain: Herijuana
Breeder: Sannies Seeds
Location: indoor
Type: mostly indica
Flowering: ~56 days
No feminized seeds.
Genetic: Herijuana IBL
Flowering time: 7-9 weeks
Harvest: up to 500 gram/m2(indoor)
Taste: sandlewood/afghani
Effect: heavy medical body stone
Flowers: They are rockhard with lots of cristals
THC: up to 25%

This fabulous indica has more then one fine qualities. This makes her very loved all over the world. Because of the high thc percentage en the narcotic after effect, she is often used as a medicinal smoke. The flowers are covered with resin and smell intoxicating.

This plant originates from Woodhorse and was perfected by Moterabel. Sannie and Moterabel work together with genes and since Moterabel is unable to breed for himself anymore. I received the seeds in 2006 and had 2 grows since to get an overall view in what to expect. After the selection we kept the seeds off the best pheno. Because the original seeds were already IBL (Inbreed Line), these seeds are also best to describe as IBL.

The plants grow fast and produce a lot of side branches, as a Sativa normally does. Because off this quality Herijuana is a great scrogg (screen of green) plant. Herijuana keeps growing for the first 2 weeks off bloom and produces golfball-like buds, even the lower buds get rock hard.

Blueberry isn't for beginers, period.
Check out these guys in Canada too for there strains:
http://www.peakseedsbc.com/seeds.htm
I hope that I do not offend you by quoting you again but I wanted to say I agree with you and that while their line is rather limited, PeakSeedsBC has some good genetics and is a reputable company to do business with. What you said was both a good comment/bit of information and a good recommendation. I recommend PeakSeedsBC fairly often myself.

you'll do well with the highgrade nl#5, grew that several times, very nice indica
i don't think i've seen much in complaints with that strain out of 5+ grow logs i've followed
had less luck with one of his other strains though

I prefer my recommendations better, but other than the Chocolope, your other ones weren't at all bad options.

thanks for the info folks! I'll stay away from blueberry until my thumbs a little greener and i'm gonna look into sagarmatha mangolian or slyder as well. I'll keep lurking and reading some journals. peace

i think you should grow out something from mandala, very easy to grow and affordable.
and you get high yields. the value i think is tremendous compared to other breeders.

I have to second the Mandala, got some hashberry, amazing quality for the price. But that being said, Brick Top is the one to listen to, most of us haven't the slightest clue compared to him, If you don't believe me do some research and ask him in a message any question you have and the answer you get will blow your mind. I would avoid nirvana like the plague, but I am at a point that if my garden was to get a bad hermie in it and got seeded i would chop the whole thing down. Genetics are a big part of a happy garden, get some low quality gentics and stress them a little bit and you will be picking pollen out of everything (one of the most common complaints on this site, right up there with "my timer stopped working a month and a half ago, i just noticed today" ok thats a bit of an exaggeration), but if there is anything this site has taught me its get the best genetics you can afford, and check that damn timer every day.

better stay inside that shack on the lake, the bears can smell your fear.

Don't worry pal .... it's getting to be winter here so I will be staying in my 2750 sq. foot "shack on the lake" a good bit until spring.

As for bears. We don't have much of a population of them here anymore. About 2 miles up the road from me, where it dead ends at a game preserve, there is a small family or two of black bear, but they seldom roam down my way. In nearly 24 years of living here I have only seen them maybe a half dozen times max.

The lake is actually a 50,000 acre reservoir with roughly 825 miles of shoreline that was built for flood control and hydroelectric generation so the lake level does fluctuate. Every handful of years it will reach a very high level, once less than a half foot from the top of the dam, and when that happens much of the game preserve ends up under water and that is when the few nearby bear will venture out more and raid gardens and trash cans etc. That is when I have seen them the most, though they might cruise the area at night when I would then not see them.

A bit of advice for you ... if you have bears in your area ... they can smell when girls menstruate and if you have any bears around and if they are of the aggressive type it will attract them, so if I were you I would be sure to stay inside for a handful of days each month when you're riding the cotton pony.
