once again, non of your business. if the jersey jerks have an audience and sponsors are willing to pay them, more power to them. its non of my fucking business because i dont contribute in any way. why are lefties always the MORAL police when it comes to what OTHER people are paid?
I think you missed a few of my points bro..
1. Jersey Shore - do they deserve the salaries they receive as well? I believe you will answer no, they don't. If you answer no, you will be contradicting your own justification for athletes salaries. If you answer yes, I'd love to hear your reasons why.
2. Couldn't millions of people be spending their time more constructively? Agreed with you that that's really none of my business, it's just more of an observation about society that I made. I think it would be better if all those millions of people so occupied with sports were doing something else, perhaps thinking about solving some of the problems I went over earlier. You've gotta agree with that, right?
3. What makes any professional sport any more reasonable/rational/or logical to consider professional? I find it similar to the different organized religions - all of them are equally as irrational and illogical, just like sports and board games and video games and anything like that... they all seem equally as irrational to idolize on the level professional sports are today.
4. Take the "obsession with sports" further... I believe one of your counter-points earlier was "well if people want to pay for it, there will be people who will always provide it" - I brought up the gladiator games, and how there are people who'd be glad to pay to see that... Where's the line? Physical harm? Apparently not, as already agreed upon, athletes get fucked up in their sports all the time. Death? Intent of death? Intent of human death? Another problem I see from where I sit is conflict of interest. The people responsible for putting these events on have amassed enormous fortunes. You see what they want you to see. You tune in, they keep providing it.
One other thing, honest question... What do you think would change if instead of sports it was science or something else equally as beneficial academically? Better or worse for the world?
I'd appreciate a response to each of those points if you've got the time. I'm just chillin' at 2am wide awake and stoned as fuck with 2 days of work off
you want to start attacking peoples salaries, lets start with govt workers who, for the most part, are leeches on society. not producing a fucking thing but getting paid by STEALING other peoples money. who get their jobs because they licked the right politicians balls.
anyone who earns money by their own free will and hard work, more power to them. they arent stealing from me or my family.
