actually, marriage WAS a promise to god.

now it's a legal and binding contract creating a new legal entity involving two individuals.

people who can sign this contract enjoy 'spousal priviledge' in court, health insurance 'spousal coverage' benefits, military soldiers can move their 'spouses and direct family' into military bases and these people enjoy access to military facilities and perks all over the US that include but are not limited to: discount grocery stores, discounts automobile MSRPs, reduced interest rates, and plenty others.......
