lol a couple feet with a fluorescent light....anyone say stretch?couple feet man, a 2 week old plant does not need much.
ditto on that LOL, what's wrong with you people, MJ is able to sprout and thrive in full summer sun, there is no reason on earth to to have a florescent light two feet away. Two inches is more like it.lol a couple feet with a fluorescent light....anyone say stretch?
Same here man my seedlings are just now 2 weeks old and second set of leaves are beginning. A 2 week old seedling with 4-5 nodes is like a fuckin super plant.Well yea, I start a seed in soil and in two weeks I got a seedling that is working on its second set of leaves. During this time it doesn't need much light. I's not like I haven't done this before. I use about a quarter the amount of nutrients that's recommended, never touched molasses and have grown in all three types of hydro, my six plants in soil last year net me over seven pounds of meds.
You wanna tell a noob to put his light on top of his seedling?
Shit, I don't care but don't imply I don't know what I am talking about.
I wasn't implying anything I'm telling you outright you are spewing bullshit.don't imply I don't know what I am talking about.
Just so we are clear, i never said anything making fun of you or implying you dont know what your doing at all, i was just saying at 2 weeks my plants are like 5-6 times bigger than yours are at 2 weeks. Might want to think about that, im not doing nothing amazing that you arent, im just keeping the lights 2-3 inches away compared to your foot or two away. How can you deny that people like me and frmboi and rollbluntz who keep our tubes and cfls 2-3 inches away and have plants that are 4-5 times the size of yours at 2 weeks have faster growth rates and take off alot faster? I respect your opinion on developing the root system first hypothesis of yours, but it doesnt seem to offer any actual benefits in my experiments, the plants that are too far just stretch and dont start rooting as well while ones that are under good lighting close to them develop big strong healthy root systems to go with their larger size earlier. Try it on your next grow if you dont believe me my friend......Well yea, I start a seed in soil and in two weeks I got a seedling that is working on its second set of leaves. LOL agreed, my 125w blue cfl bulb sits 2 and a half inches away and im sure it wuld be fine even closer! lol2 weeks old working on it first set? at 2 weeks mine are 6-8 inches tall with 4 or 5 nodes........your plants really take that long to get going?
3-4 inches. like i said earlier as long as you can hold the back of your hand under where the plants top will be heightwise for like 30-60 seconds and it doesnt get uncomfortbley warm your good, if not raise the light a 1/2 inch and retest until you find the right distance.yeah how hight should i put that bulb from my seedling
