i know this is not the right place for a relationship advice but really i cant post this anywere with out getting flame by sobber fags saying drugs are bad and this and that. hopping people in common that smoke too, to get opinions on this subject. but lately my gf been complaining about me not showing enough emotions and proving it somehow. I don't have a clue on how! I come from a home of neglect and abuse and I was conditioned to be tough and not weak, because of abusive dad ( left last year ) so emotions don't come out casually with me. and I was high as hell during this argument, I told her if she is not happy she should leave because its killing her. and now i feel bad about but she is still with me and I did this in the past and promise not to say that again but since i was high and argumentative I forgot about the promise. so now i need to work on showing emotions but how.

Dude, just do a search for stuff like how to be romantic. There are TONS of books and articles on it. Years ago I was were you are, and got such a book.."1000 Ways To Be Romantic"...or was it 1001? Anyway, I used a couple ideas out of it. You wouldn't have to buy the book these days though, just do a search.

Show her the attention, when she goes to bed, go to bed with her, do the cuddle thing. I don't care if yer tired or not, its a gauranteed a win! Ask how her day went, let her vent if it went bad, don't relate your bad experience that you had that day, just listen.

Honestly bro you just have to let your guard down. It's not easy and it doesn't happen over night but as long as your making an effort and progress than that's all anyone can ask of you. You can still be yourself but just a more understanding and compassionate self. Life is what you make of it. If you continue that cycle of your up-bringing then your kids will suffer the same. Do your self a favor and open up to your lady, take the tuff skin off when it comes to your girl & put it back on when you need to.
