First Official cfl grow

yea double what my local (HA! Stretch of the word, have to go down into town but it's the closest one) hydro store charges about $17 a quart for the growbig and $22 for the bloom for soil, and close to the same for the hydro formula... was wondering because I need to get some FF here was about to buy it off amazon but then saw shipping price, and theres true value closer than the hydro store but I guess the extra few bucks is enough to just hold it of till my next run to the hydro place... great to know for future emergency's though! did they have any hydro formula? I know a couple of patients whom are a bit abscent minded and could use a place to run to real quick till they find their nutrients on res change weeks.

homer371!! Yep, I am thinking of topping. I am going to lst, I don't know exactly how I am going to do it though. The last lst turned out bad, I got the branches too close to the edges of the cabinet, and I didn't get all the buds 100% vertical, like needed. So, this time, going to try to keep them branches closer to the middle, without killing the light to the lower areas of the branches, and make sure they are vertical!!!
Today's pics, yep, she is so beautiful and she is just growing!! Her name is Sharon.
I must say, looks like she really liked the nutes I gave her. I'm trying to make sure she gets plenty of N, so she has the resources she needs during flower this time.
I am slowly getting better with my camera.

Looking very healthy allforit, Don't you hate when fans die on you? I had one of my small house fans stop working correctly a few days ago...boyyy thats a pain haha.

Homer371, Thank You! She really is beautiful. What medicine. Not only do we get to eat/smoke it, but we get to watch it grow and mature and do all the work ourselves, no big pharma company is making our meds! We are! I'm all about medical. I believe in using it for re-creation as well, it does both. Better than Demoral, and safer and better than Alcohol. How can a person go wrong?
millyy, I hear ya on that. I only really need the fan to make her stem strong. Other than that, the exhaust fan pulls enough fresh air into the cabinet through negative pressure. Works great, as can be seen lol.
I'm just so happy she is growing. With all of you pulling for her to be a girl, she will be. Hey, I got a cool idea! Let's make a contest! Kinda of. A bet. An Experiment!! Yeah! That's it!! I want to prove something to you all. I want to prove to you the power of our personal energy. I want to bet, that over the next 5 grows that I have, I will have only females. I am using bagseed, not feminized or whatnot, stricly bagseed. So far. So, here's the deal: All of you that read my journal, have to extend to my plant some positive female energy. Tell her she is going to be female. Just once a day, once every other day. I bet you 10,000 bucks that if we all did that for each other. we could have all females. Power of the Universe. It's real.

hey allfor it, i hear you man. it's a beautiful thing growing your own medicine. growing is such a great activity, i think about it all the time. actually too much sometimes. and then what the grow produces, of course. it's all quite wonderful. anyway, i'm sending good "it's a girl" vibes your way bro!! my girls should be showing sex any day now (but i already know they're girls cause they're clones, so unless something CRAZY happens... lol). peace bro.

Thanks homer371 and HippySmoke!! I can't wait for her to grow up because I really want to get to flowering. I messed up the last grow so bad, that I am anxious to see how much better this one turns out lol. I want to be taking pictures of a beautiful plant in flower, not one that is locked up and dying lol. Should be great!!

We all have our shortcomings we learn from, even though this is such a simple plant advanced growth is some serious technique based stuff easier with experience each grow gets better :

I think I might have dried my harvest too much. I just smoked some, and it's really crispy, all the way to the stem. And seems to be not very good. I have been burping it daily, since I jarred it, what was that, a few weeks ago now? Well, I think I done ruined it. The smoke had no flavor to speak of, really. It didn't even smell like weed when I exhaled. It had no smell at all, really. Now I am feeling a bit of pressure in my head, almost like being stoned, but not quite. It's way too dry. For shore.

It's still a creeper bud, that's for sure.
Plus, I didn't fill the jars up very much at all. I used 2 jars, quart size I think, and only filled em about halfway up. So I just now put all the bud into one jar. Also, I had it in my closet which is around 75 to 80 degrees, since it's where my grow cab is. That was probably too hot an area, so I just put it in my back room, which I don't heat, so it's like 65 in there. It's too late now I am sure to fix anything, but oh well. I can try lol.

Hash butter time, sad to hear but my first harvest I was afraid of mold and overdried it too so it's a mistake others have made. That and the daily burpings for months... yea... being OVERattentive to the crop is a common issue too 
but yea vape it or make hash butter brother. And you do know how to keep your harvest from breaking down next time? Like light kills THC one patient I worked with last year kept his product in mason jars on a shelf, great way to keep it just don't open the jar till the last one is empty. But that shelf was in his computer room, after 3 months of indirect sunlight a couple of hours a day and cfl light many hours a day slowly the buds turned from a beautiful green to a dingy brown... light is great for buds!... until ya chop it off the plant then DARK is good for preservation of THC and for allowing the inactive starchs to convert to thc and cbd and in some medicinal cases a technique is used in curing that supposedly (don't know if it's true need a lab) but causes many of the active THC's to convert to CBD's.
