do you guys have pollenated areas that seem to brown faster then the other buds on the plant? it seems that these two tops that i pollenated on my Sour D have started to show some withering brown or some kind of burn but the rest of the plant has nothing like that. some fan leaves are yellowing but nothing has this same brown to it. not sure if it has to do with the calyxes being open or something but is trully only on the two pollenated tops. im not worried just wondered if this happens to you guys on some strains as well. my GDP pollenated bud doesnt seem to be doing it, so im leaning towards possible strain dependent.

When you pollinate the calyxes will wilt and dry up, that's how your supposed to know it took. I did mine on Sunday and looked today and all the bud sites I pollinated have responded that way.

ya duchie i did it over a month ago now i think so i got around 2 weeks left hopefully. ive posted in here a few times since i started but its a busy thread so its easy to read over some posts. i know the hairs receed and wither but i havent noticed this kind of dieing of the tips and the browning of the tips of the actual calyxe. its not on my other strain and it doesnt worry me just something that seemed different and was worth asking if anyone else experiences this at times. its almost like the nugs are trying to tell me its finished and will start to go bad but the seeds still have some time. i wont be smoking these tips as they are filled with seed so no big deal just noticed a difference.

Hey Littlegrowwer, That's fairly normal. If you leave a bud to mature past maturation date then it's start to go brown and die. This then enables it to release the seed pods as the bud effectively dries up. Looks like you are going down that road...nowt to worry about.
I have also noticed on some strains where early pollination has taken place, or self pollinating strains that always seem to pollenate the pre flower calyx that sits along under the bud....I am sure I even have one now that I could take a pic of. If these pollenate they go brown as well.
@Duchie, I missed you post with the pollenating pics above. Are you going to pollenate again? I woiudlr ecommend it in a week or so when you see new calyxes developing on the bud. This will ensure that bud is fully max's for seeds.

Yes D, I do plan on doing it again for sure. I wanted to show you guys this shot of Princess C's offspring, the first on I planted. She has been like this right from out of the ground, where all new foliage is yellow and then goes green. Any of you guys ever see this? Is this a deficiency or just a trait of the plant?

pyscho killer looks like its a solid producer! the nugs are plenty all of over that plant there D!

Well the F1's are all fairly similar as you would expect, and imho could go to market with the best of the big girls. I have had two females and both have produced very similar looking and smelling plants. One was just slightly smaller than the other, but again it is hard to tell unless you give them exactly the same treatment. The second one here was bent and snapped so had a huge nuckle on it as well, this seemed to make it explode in growth. I also up the pot size on this half way through flower...pics below.
We have F2 seeds so whether or not it will be good to keep inbreeding this or just go with these I am not 100%. I will repeat, THEY ARE THE SHIZZ. The finished product I smoked from another growers Psycho Killer was very similar in smell although a bit more complex, and that can be backed up by another RIU who at the minute is absent. At the moment mine are very lemony but I think that is going to change as there are undertones there as well....I expect all the strains in this to have a mark, and I am waiting for the sour milkyness to come in at any moment.
