Just as a sort or rudimentary control I took a cutting at the same time I buried the meristem tips through the lid. It has started rooting already and was kept under the same conditions as the mother plant (inc. nutrient solution) and treated with rooting hormone on the same basis as the MRS attempt.

The Snow White is a Male???? WTF??? Do you think I can write something to the company cause I still do have the order info say Feminized Snow White? Thats messed up and I am so sorry for that happening, but I am mad cause my Mom paid for a Feminized Snow WHite Seed. Well, maybe you can take a clipping and get male pollen from it. Damn

I just went back and looked at the plastic bag that had a label on it still and it does say 'Feminized' underneath the Snow White label... I'm going to go back and look at the Snow White again with magnification... My camera won't do macro enough to get a picture, but I swear I'm seeing the beginnings of flowers bunched up together - and not the single flower on each side of the node branch (if you can follow what I'm saying). Was definitely planning on giving it more time before pronouncing it as a definite male though and I probably just jumped the gun - should know with absolute certainty within the week.

With that in mind if its a male let me know because I will write a letter to Nirvana and tell them I had a Feminized Seed that is a male and see if they will send me another or something. She takes time to show pistils but when she does, they will come in fast.

I'm not seeing any flowers/buds forming yet on Minerva (MD1) - which is another reason I'm thinking the Snow White is likely male...

And yeah, if SW turns out male - I'll help you contact Nirvana about it. My dealings have been good with them in the past and we have pictures of a healthy plant growing vigorously.

Ok, just looked with magnification and there are some super tiny little pistils just beginning to emerge. So it looks like I was wrong and the Snow White is female. Sometimes it's great to be wrong about something. lol

I just haven't seen flowers develop all clustered up like this from the get-go... except w/ males.

Thanks man! I think I just got their nutrient and pH likes really dialed in w/ the last reservoir changes - they should really start looking awesome as the flowering stretch kicks up here. I'm excited about seeing all three of the plants start to flower. I love growing more than the smoking. lol

I feel like I'm getting old...maybe I need some ensure. Your grow looks great I see to many times that people think that the greener a plant is that the better it will yield...I'll take your results any day.

You just motivated me to turn off the 600w HPS for a bit and only use white light to try and get as true color as possible. The HPS orange destroys the real colors:



And hey, Ensure isn't all that bad. Just think of all the time you'll save by not having to even use a microwave to eat!

I'm parting with using the Lucas formula this time and I'm trying the Botanicare recommended 2-3-5 NPK ratio for flowering but through veg and increased through the first three weeks of flowering. Week 4 of flowering I'm going to try switching to 1-4-5 NPK and will taper down strength over about 4 weeks - and then should be close to harvesting. I completely skip using Botanicare's Grow part.

From those pictures, they don't look N deficient at all do they?

I motivated someone to do something now if I could only motivate myself...and I don't even own a microwave damn...and as I said before those plants look perfect. Don't get stuck on this super green till the end stuff. The plant is supposed to be lighter green it will glow in the moon light if it's in nature. I mean everyone has there opinion about this. And no those plants don't look like they are low on nitrogen the only thing I would look into is Magi-cal or something before you flower.

I actually just gave them a full dose of CalMag+ w/ the last bucket changes I did. But yeah, I definitely agree with you about the overuse of N.

Well I gave it enough time to be certain and the the Snow White is male. Clusters of staminate buds - no pistils anywhere, so it's not a hermaphrodite. Will get some pictures tomorrow before and after I cut him down BKB and I'll include the 'Snow White' 'Feminized' packaging in the pictures (will send them to you). I'm optimistic Nirvana will do the right thing.

A buddy of mine actually had this problem with seeds he ordered from Attitude.. He told them and the sent him 5 more of the same seeds he had ordered (feminized again) and a bunch of freebie seeds for his inconvenience.. I have yet to order from anywhere but attitude..

I've been happy with Nirvana in the past and they seem to make good on a lot of complaints so hopefully they'll make things right. I'll update how Nirvana handles things in the journal though.

No worries bro - I'm actually fine with having him as a pollen donator. Minerva (MD1) is still rocking it out and is going to be a decent harvest and that little Athena clone is just icing on the harvest cake... it's all good on my end. I'll get their email, write a short letter and include some pictures tomorrow. But I'll send it all to you to so you won't have to do anything except include your order info and send the final email. [Unless you want to do anything more].

Did you clone Minerva? You should pollenate a MD with the Snow White, bang out seeds and I will be even happier. Should be a nice cross, just a thought!!
