Estimating ppm

Is there a way to estimate ppm until i get a meter?
well one thing comes to mind.... if you have a hydroponic nute, or any nutes, that says "week two of flowering add 1tsp/gal or aprox 900-1100ppm(for example)". than you have to assume that 1tsp/gal would equal aprox 1k ppm. then 1/2 tsp/gal would aprox equal 500ppm. or 1/4 tsp/gal would give you aprox 250 ppm. does this make sense to you? just follow the directions and if anything be a little more conservative untill you get your meter. i hope this helped!:peace::peace::peace::mrgreen::peace::peace::peace:

k it just seemed like a small amount to me...haha but i dont know anything
Wow, sorry for confusing you bro. it was just an example of how to use ratios. it doesnt matter what the values are..... it could have been 123456 tablespoons/gal = 500ppm... (ya,, thats a kinda crazy number, but im We Tarded anyways :) ).. if you used half of the 123456 tablespoons/gal,which would be 61728sbsn/gal (123456tbsn/gal/2=61728tbsn/gal), it would give you 250ppm. ............. i guess what im trying to say is that if the manufacture says that x amount will give you a certain ppm then half x will give you half the ppm. 1/3x will give you 1/3ppm.

aaaaahhh i hope im getting through to you....lol.... here's another example that IM JUST MAKING UP!!!!ya if the bottle says 4 tablespoons/gallon or 800ppm, you have to assume that 4tbsn/gal=800ppm. so if you only want to give 400ppm to your plants then then use 2tbsn/gal. ya, maybe you should study ratios. so without numbers involved if you use half the recommended amount you will get half the ppm, if you use 2 times the recomm. amount than you will get twice the ppm. its basic algebra.

fuck it.................. bump lol:peace::peace::peace::mrgreen::peace::peace::peace:
