Neighbor Saw Me Walking Out Of Hydro Store.....

So i went to the hydro shop down the street from my house today, just getting some net cups and coco cups, just a little bag luckily. When i walked out and crossed to my car someone said something out of a car behind me, i turn around and recognize the car as one of the dozen that "lives" at the clearly drug dealing house across the way from me.
"Hey I'm your neighbor" he says.
"Yeah? Whats goin on?" I respond, not real happy about this conversation already.
"Whats your name?"
"Mike, whats up?"
"You grow?" He asks!!!!!
I look down at the bad kinda confused, look back at him, then back at the bag.
"O, these are for the garden, its gardening season!" I hope i played this off alright, was pretty pissed off at this moment but anger would have been a bad response.
"Oh, I'm sorry, man!........sorry" and drives away.

So now the fucking drug dealers in my hood know there is a good chance i grow, and they are obviously real good people from everything i see going on there. I am really glad this was today, not last week when i had a $700 order. I used the back door for that one, looks like i may be doing that more.
I am really not sure what to do, just let it go? Go smoke a bowl with him and see if i can at least have them on my side, rather than against me......although i can not stand people like them.......
Any thoughts would be great, don't be too hard on me, i know i was a fucking idiot, but he caught me way off guard. At least i didn't say something worse.
Now i gotta go burn one.......

why don't you go out and buy a couple of cheesey plants and put them outdoors on say your porch or front yard, this way it actually looks like you are indeed growing something other then marijuana.. if they saw you outside playing with some dirt and a few pots and say some diasie's or what have you, it would go a long way to explain things in my book..

Considering the story you gave him when you seen him this is exactly what I would do. Buy some jasmine or something, make sure he sees you out there tending to it. He may have his suspicions whether you were lieing to him or not at this point, but if he sees you outside fucking around in a garden he'll be more likely to accept your story.

I started an outdoor garden for that very reason. All my neighbors now know I'm a farmer. I have potatoes, tomatoes, cukes, squash, onions, garlic, cilantro, rosemary, tyhme, basil, strawberries, peppers of various sorts, etc all growing outside.

Mike Young- I like your thinking here, but this is the really bad drug dealing house, the people in the house have competely changed twice, without it ever going up for sale/rent or being empty for any time at all, just new Mexicans and new cars, this time one of them is a H2 full of chrome on like 30" rims. I really think it may be a Mexican Mafia owned house, so no luck in getting them out of there short of a fire...........
DaBong- Like i said above, i think they may be mexican mafia, so i don't want anything to do with them if possible, but i try to be the cool neighbor, doesn't always work out.
Tiger- I agree i need something in place now, even if they would find nothing by breaking in, still don't want them breaking in.
Serapis- Wow of all people i didn't think you would have ripped on me for this. I really tried to play it off like a dumb ass, 9000 thoughts crossed my mind in the time of the conversation, that line played out best. For once having an overactive brain came in handy!
Racer- Nice thing is i am currently doing A LOT of yard work including putting in a garden, so that will play off easy. Hell i have a Dingo sitting in my front yard right now. That was part of the garden answer, that and the fact i just came out of hydro shop.

I really don't think they sell bud over there, its one of those places you walk up and before you get to the door someone has at waved you through the window to just come in. Sometime surprised they don't just sell through the window.
I have considered narcing on them, they are way stupid about what they do, but the cops go over there once a month or so and no one has ever left in cuffs, so i figure it would be worthless and bad karma for me. I did call the cops once when i heard a gun shot and then a lady outside crying...... He slammed the car door so hard the air bag went off, sounded just like a bullet.

IMO you should worry less about growing and more about your kids at this point, your putting them in danger and need to probably pack up and leave. Im not tying to tell you what to do in a bitchy way but you need to step up and be a parent.

By the same token, i own my house, didn't know they were their until i moved in, and there is a drug dealer in every hood. And about my growing with kids, my garden is STRICTLY after the kids are in bed, and not only in and area of the house that has a locked door, but heavy furniture must be moved to get near it.
I decided to have kids yes, but i support them and have the happiest kids you have ever met, i have already almost lost one (to a heart condition) and i will not let it happen. I am only in a slightly worse position now, and even if i do stop growing this instant, then i have already fucked up and they won't have a clue if i am or not.
I do not drive a flashy car, i do not have a house that you would look at and say "we gotta rob that house" but my kids have my toys and love than most kids could hope for. Before you talk shit remember life isn't as easy as you think, and if i payed for my smoke (i am in a legal state with a legal grow) i would spend at least $600 a month, because i grow i pay maybe $100 a month.
So in short, even if you weren't trying to be bitchy, you were, and you don't know a mother fucking thing about how i parent!
