Booby trapping plots

Lol I wanted to start this thread because I know there is people in this world that have booby trapped grows before. For instance I know a guy who showed another guy a plot, but he didnt have any trust in him, he told me he just had a feeling he was going to steal his plants. What does he do? lol he sets a trip line several inches off the ground, with a 12 guage shotgun hidden off the path in some trees aimed just above the trip line. Sure enough, that buddy goes back there to steal other buddies plants, and he gets quite a surprise, 12 guage buckshot just misses him, almost blowing off his legs. Im not sure how exactly it went after that, but the buddy growing the plants ended up doing 2 years in jail. THis happened many years ago, Ive been hearing about it as long as I can remember, he just lives down the road a ways, continues to grow lol. But I can gurantee one thing, no one messes on his property anymore, every body around here knew about that, lol hes considered the hardcore grower, yet he is getting older, harvests have been getting smaller.
OK Also on another show I seen a booby trap set up at the entrance of a plot, It was very simple, A piece of ply wood with nails hammered all through it, so if anybody entering the plot didnt know about it, they would puncture their feet. Anybody else heard of different devices growers have used to booby trap (absolutely in no way promoting it). Hurting or injuring any other living things is wrong just so you can get some pot, Also if police come across booby trapped plots, they will stay there and wait for the grower with hefty jail time. I think This could be a great thrread, get the discussions flowing Love to hear some feedback and oppinions, happy toking guys.

For the most part, I and most people I think, are opposed to booby traps. They are dangerous, they can injur innocent people and it gives growers a bad reputation. Not only that but if your grow is found or someone gets hurt, they will surely sticking around to catch whoever did this and your facing even more criminal cases. Keep it peaceful, your better off setting traps that will tell you if people are going through your area or ideally hidden cameras to be sure.

ha. yea ive heard of the shotgun booby traps before. guy around here got his ass cheeks blown off bout killed em. id rather have a plant or 2 stolen then hurting/killing sombody. Now when it comes to deer thats a different story ill give them a deal ya know. ive heard of many people booby trapping though.

Dude, I said nothing in my post about helping people booby trap their grows, if you read the full post, I said I was not promoting it. I started this thread because I wanted to share my knowledge, and hear from others, because on television there still seems to be alot of people booby trapping their grows. Of course everybody knows not to booby trap because instead of the cops just taking your plants and leaving, they will set up a sting at the plot to catch the grower, and there is almost always jail time included, you could be up agaisnt charges of attempted murder. I Dont think ive seen any other threads on booby trapping, so I thought this could be an amazing thread. not talked about very much, I figured lots of people would like to do some brainstorming and share their ideas or know past experiences with other growers who have booby trapped in the past.

If sharing your 'knowledge' on bobby trapping is regaling us with a tale about a guy almost getting shot with a shotgun trap, you might just wanna hold on to making any new threads.

couldnt agree more. A simple Dollar bill on a tree with a tack is all ima be doin , who wouldnt take a dollar off a tree if they seen it ? Thats how ill kno no one is around my plot.

you strike me as a guy who would rip off other peoples grows and woodnt appreciate booby traps because you would get hurt. yea I agree with you. He used to be into cocaine hard, quite crazy, the plot was on his property, like right behind his house (Huge plot) Im guessing he just got right sketched out about it and set it. He still gets sketched out when he grows his plants, come harvest he sleeps with them lol.

Booby traps are a disgusting idea.

Law enforcement love when that kind of shit happens. So they can say " see, those marijuana growers are willing to injure or kill someone for their dope".

If someone should happen to stumple upon your plot and steal your plants, then thats life. sorry. Try to pick a better spot next time.

Just leave indicators of any intruders presence... twigs to be snapped, etc. Nothing violent...

My brother got hurt pretty badly when he was 13 him and a bunch of his buddies where paint balling in the woods about 15k from our house. Some asshole put razor wire in the grass all around his crop. My bro got cut up pretty badly - hospital for stitches.

I went back and cut down all 23 plants, well all but 1. The last plant I cut cut the top half off and sprayed everything with round up. It was September 23rd so they were all almost ready to pick.

I though it would be a better lesson than jacking the crop... more of a piss off when you go to crop out and see everything but 1 laying dead and poisoned.

What the fuck is your problem, I dont have any reasons to booby trap my plots at all. I started this fucking thread because booby traps are out there in the real fucking world, and there are still people that do it, shouldnt people be able to share knowledge of whats happening in the real world, I would never harm or injure any living creature let alone people. Its better to know what potential dangers are out there then just not give a fuck like you, SHame on you, and its assholes like you with your negativity that ruin good threads, Grow the fuck up kid
