Depends. For instance low pH, like below 5, causes Al to become soluble, and it is toxic to plants. But other nutrients are probably still in some way 'available' to the plant. Here is an example of a nutrient availability chart.

Still, this doesn't mean that nutrients just get totally locked out from 5.5 - 6.0, especially considering the presence of humic and fulvic acids, and mycorrhizal fungi. Similar, if your pH is slightly above 7 it really isn't a big deal. In fact, if you want to support the activity of nitrogen fixing bacteria during veg you would want a pH just above 7.

i swore i would not post is thread anymore but they opened a second facility in south carolina. the west coast formula uses redwood bark and the east coast stuff uses pine bark. they claim the chemical properties are the same. conveniently for ff the price has not come down on the east coast even though there is clearly less cost involved with shipping.

honestly, if they do have a SC facility, and still allowing people to be charged 20$ a bag, something needs to be done about that, like growers just need to tell the hydroshops "fuck this, and fuck you" and write foxfarm telling them you refuse to buy the product untill the new shipping rates are configured into the new price, instead of the hydroshops just making 2x more money...but anyone got a link about the SC facility? i cant really find anything legit about it

well it has a lot of nutrients so you don't need to feed them any for about 2 weeks to a month

... there is some slight yellowing on some leaves, but i thinks its cause i always forget to mix in the GrowBig with the flower nutes on weeks 2-4 so that will cause yellowing due to lack of N, untill you start using the Cha-

now that is the funniest shit ever. honestly after reading through this thread and hearing all the different bullshit that ff "reps" have said, i'm really starting to think the company is straight up full of shit and nothing any of them say can be trusted. for reference when i called ff i spoke to "joe" and he went into *great detail* about the differences in the soil that was produced at the sc and west coast facilities, and gave me all this reassurance that the chemical properties of the barks were identical. i really don't want to buy any of their shit any more after this, just on principle. it could made of cheese and fairy dust for all we know.
