Pcp?

I got a question for the folks here. I know of an incident where someone is going on trial over manufacture of PCP. Now I don't know the requirements of a PCP lab but I looked up the synthisis and it isn't simple at all. Is there a market for PCP? Do people still use it?

I had always known that PCP was a diverted substance, "borrowed" from pet hospitals and then dried or applied to smokeables or snorted. I thought the stuff was rather pleasant snorted.

Here is the puzzle:

Why would someone with a lab capable of making PCP. . make PCP?

you'd be surprised over the market of pcp.. i know in the city of brotherly love, pcp can be quite the popular drug.. there is definitely money to be made in producing pcp i would imagine..

As far as the chemical itself. I can't say. Never tried. I don't dig dope that I can't control. But the effects look FAR from boy scout...

I still have the question though. Why defy the law in order to set up a fairly sophisiticated lab, divert a handful of watched chemicals, produce tell tale chemical signitures in disposal and smell, only to produce a baggie full of PCP? I can't help but think that the police are missing something.

Maybe their intensions where to make more and just got caught in the process. i think the person just saw a opening in the market and possessed a knowledge and how to. Think of it this way if you could grow weed or make LSD for profit what would you do? i would make LSD, IMO it is easier to hide random chemicals than a plant. but i do not have the knowledge so here we are...

i just don't think the op understands the market for pcp.. there have to be at least i would say a good 50 corners, or sets if you will, in the city of brotherly love that all sit there and sell wet, dust, pcp, whatever you'd like to call it, for a good 18 hours of the day.. this is just one city in the entire country.. and i surely doubt that it is just one person who goes around to each set and buys all of their wet, which leads me to believe that wet has a huge market in this country, and just because the op may never have done it, there are obviously lots of other people who have, and continue to do so..
now, i've been to almost every set in north philly at one time or another, and never, not once have i ever seen one of them selling lsd.. not a once have i driven past a corner to have someone yell out cid to me.. now mind you, i'm sure that there are enough people in say the clubs and outdoor concerts who may sell acid, but you can't tell me that these people can even touch the amount of money that i well established set can make in a day or a week.. dark destruction and i were talking about what we say on this show called the squeeze, and dude had said that his set in chicago made $75000 a day selling drugs, none of which are lsd.. this is one simple set in one simple city in the us.. now i'm not saying that wet is as big of a seller as say heroin or ready rock, but i do believe that it surely out sells lsd every day of the week, and twice on sundays, and this is why the person who got arrested decided to make himself some wet instead of some lsd...

Absolutely correct sir, I do not understand the market. I did enjoy my short time with the substance and found it not to be the horror the police made it out to be. I have simply not heard of anything but simple diversion of that chemical. Now it is entirely possible that the manufacturer happened to have a couple of vats of precursors handy. I suppose someone who had such chemicals accidentaly or on purpose would be led to produce such a chemical and beyond that, market it in a new way to a new generation. I don't think that these precursors are applicable to any of the more popular synthisized chemicals and I doubt there is much of a common denominator of watched precursors between say, PCP and X for example. It seems that you know plenty enough to reasonably speculate. So what you are saying is that there really is a decent market for angle dust or wet (is that the term?)

Location is a huge factor. You come this way and you will never here cid, wet etc. etc. Nobody even knows what that shit is.

I haven't traveled the US. Don't plan on it. But the 5 - 6 states I call home are all the same.

Philly from what I can tell is an exception to the rule. I started searching about more info about the PCP market and the first sentence I read was... Well if PCP has a market that means there is demand, and demand most propably means people like the effects of the drug. Thats why some dealers make it...

I have never had it but I have heard its slightly dangerous compared to other drugs.
