What the hell else could it possibly be?dude im gonna be honest with you, you really don't need a hum dome. I never use one and i have 100% success rate. It's gotta be something else. I have cloned when my humidity was at 35 %, Humidity helps but i don't think that's your problem
Most of the time your clones may droop right after cutting them. Takes a day or so for them to pop outa it. Also I would recomend skipping the water part after cutting and go straight into the Cloning solution so that NO air gets in that stem. The faster the better. I usually have a 99.9 cloning success rate.I've taken like five clones just trying to get the hang of things. I'm cutting with extremely sharp sterilized scissors on a 45. Immediately put the girls in ph'd water then dip in cloned gel and straight into the rapid rooter cubes, which are presoaked in ph'd water. Then I place the cubes in a 16 oz cup hempy cups filled with perlite then I place them about 18 inches away from my flouros. Then i check them the next day or so then they are drooped over. What the hell. The only thing I can come up with is my bigger plants are shading all the light but from what I read clones can easily establish their self without direct light. Someone please help get this cloning thing down and soon!!
Dome would not be the biggest issue..... if they droop and do not recover most of the time it is because air got up the stem or your cutting to small of a piecethats ur problem....either put ur hempy cups in a tray and put dome on the tray, or if ur using small enough cups, u can do individual domes with baggies...
can you please explain your cloning method in detail. I've got on YouTube and watched all kinds of videos and I did exactly as instructed. Maybe your technique is better. If the dome helped a lot then your problem may be your not keeping them watered enough.... DO you ever let them dry out? Cloning is very simple I do not use a dome. I used to use a aeroponic cloning machine I made worked AWESOME because it helped get H2o2 to the roots as well as kept them wet 24/7.. Also are you putting them under a fluorescent light 24/0im suggesting you read a guide on cloning follow it and be patient. Keep dome on em mist them here and there.A plant that you have been feeding heavy in veg. stage will be high in nitrogen i always slack off feeding a plant when i know im goin be cutting on it and water it well for a few days ahead, to make sure their's plenty moisture in my cutting. I don't mean drown your plant use common sense it'll come to you my first few attempts i didn't think i would ever get it...lol.

Hmm I have never heard of someone giving a clone darkness after a fresh cut... Very interesting. This is your problem. Also, I always give my fresh cuttings 8-12 hours of darkness to let them "recover".
AND WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! Humidity is not the issue... The issue is from what you said about 1-3 days is they are drying up most likely.. You need to keep your medium wet at all times 1-2 hours of dryness and they can die...dude im gonna be honest with you, you really don't need a hum dome. I never use one and i have 100% success rate. Ok well yesterday I took two cuttings. Watered very well put them outside on the porch for some natural light. An hour later it looked like I had planted spaghetti noodles. So what caused this.AND WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! Humidity is not the issue... The issue is from what you said about 1-3 days is they are drying up most likely.. No problem..can you please explain your cloning method in detail. I've got on YouTube and watched all kinds of videos and I did exactly as instructed. Maybe your technique is better. Please explain if you don't mind
Problem solved... Sunlight will kill them so fast if they are inside plants... Forget the sun grab yourself like a 2 foot florescent light that has like 2 bulbs in it and stick it under that as soon as you cut and stick and keep them there under that 24 hour light very wet and you should be ok.Ok well yesterday I took two cuttings. Watered very well put them outside on the porch for some natural light. An hour later it looked like I had planted spaghetti noodles. So what caused this.
If you do put clones out side you only want to do that when rooted and if you do put them outside you need to put them in a shady area for at least a day so they can adjust to sunlight. so forget the outside because sun is just killing them they need a fluorescent light ( more of a soft blue spectrum if I remember right ) on 24 hours because this enduces regeneration mode in the plants that with cutting the top leaves in a A shape or what i do when i clone a lot I run my hand up the stem until all leaves are in my hand where I am kind of making a fist around them and then evenly cut the tips straight across of the leaves..... Same thing I do when I find my mother plants. I flower them pick the best one cut off all the flower leave about 3-5 leaf spots and 24 hours Halide it for about a week until i see new veg growth then leave for a few more days then back to 18/6 veg cycle. If i knew how to put a video up here I would show you the process myself..Ok well yesterday I took two cuttings. Watered very well put them outside on the porch for some natural light. do your plants ever hermi from doing that? Really?? I take 12 cuttings every week and have a 99% success rate. I have been doing this for over five years, so that adds up to be almost 3000 rooted clones. How many have you rooted My420?WOW OK bad advice here.............

I am replying to your quote... Why would you give your plants Darkness after a fresh clone cut was all I was wondering it just did not seem to make sense to me but if it works heck go with it... Nice success rate to. I clone about 500-800 Clones a month because I own a dispensary and basically have to because every one else is kinda lazy when it comes to that.WOW OK bad advice here.............

Ive cloned over 15,000 Clones and started with a 95% after week 1 and ended up at where I am now cloning all strains with a 99.9% success rate.. Some strains clone easier then other for example Sour Diesel take much longer to root then Blue Dream or Green Crack.Really?? I take 12 cuttings every week and have a 99% success rate. I have been doing this for over five years, so that adds up to be almost 3000 rooted clones. How many have you rooted My420?
Like I said, I have a 99% success rate and get solid roots between 7-10 days. If I have my dome off for to long, I can see the leaves start to curl and when I put the dome back on, they are fine. In the end, do whatever works for you, but don't go around calling my method bad when you have no idea what you are talking about.

No never. Only had 1 hermie so far and that was because a light was left on outside room and there was a gap under the door that my employee did not remember to cover that day ( as it was getting fixed the next day ) and light leaked into my flowering room and hermied my Fire kush. But that was it NEVER had a clone hermie EVER.do your plants ever hermi from doing that? Damn wished I could see that video
If my success rate is "fake" then yours must be to. Nothing I said has been BS, but I don't care what you choose to believe, that is why I said "do whatever works for you". If you use low humidity and get good resluts then good on you. I use a lot of humidity and get good results. Different things work for different people. The OP has not been using a dome and is having problems, that is why I suggested he try it and see if anything changes for him, no harm in that.SOOOOO Once again please do some research before opening your mouth and making yourself look like a newbie who has just been doing this for 1 year or less oh my clones ive cloned over 15,000 easy with like i said a 99.9% success rate.. ALL STRAINS TO. not just some stupid easy cloning strain.
