Alright so I guess I'll use about half a tablespoon?Would have to be 1 foot x 1 foot. 1 table spoon for every 1" by 1" area would an insane amount

Not if you have big planters. One foot by one foot gets one tablespoon. I have a 12" planter and I put three tablespoons in all the soil.
The yellowing has stopped. Now on to the Spider mite problem. I got some Organic Spray oil from a hardware store.
Still in VEG so I'm not too scared about whats in it as far as chemicals.
And I think I am switching to Deep Water Culture Hydro. This way I can eliminate all the variables. Like the Spider mites..

you can use neem oil for spider mites... 100% organic.. do a bit of searching there are plenty of guides..
dwc WILL NOT eliminate the chance of getting spider mites... they live on the plants foliage not in the soil

Growers get spider mites when
They did not know that high humidity, high moisture, and bright lights attracks bugs.
They did not spray the floor and walls with a safe pesticide before starting the grow.
They did not use any pest strips near the door.
They did allow the cat or dog to come into the area.
They did wear shoes outdoors and then walk around the grow area with the same shoes on.
They did bring in tools from outside, from the barn, the garage, and from the yard into the grow area.
They did have some soil plants growing near the hydro area.
They did not sterilize the soil they used from outdoors.
They did leave a window open to let some fresh air in.
They did work in the outdoor garden and then come inside and work in the indoor garden area.
They did not wash their clones first.

Either way DWC give better results quicker.
I am not spending my days mixing soil and poop, and other amendments to get the soil "Right".
DWC eliminates a lot of variables, that's why I am switching. Plus it's easy and effective.

Not only the spider mites, but I have been vegging for 2 months, and my girls only grew about 1.5" - 2" over that time. I needed to do something different.

Yessir.
Perpetual Dual chamber, DWC, Rubbermaid, General Hyro Nutes, 70w HPS for Flowering, 106w 5000k/6500K CFL's for Veg.
My ladies have already started looking much better!

Sounds grand.
Get some kind of flat reflector, like not a hood but those wierd spreader things.
And put that on the 'ceiling' of your flower chamber.
That way you don't waste light on the upwards.
Or just paint the entire chamber white.
You'd better put a desktop fan in the flower cab.
And also dirt eliminates a lot of variables too..
Mix a little Dolomite Lime in it, and you don't have to worry about pH.
Smoke a bowl and run your arm through some dirt, and make a texture you like.
Dirt is beautiful :]

Here are shots of a finally stabilized habitat. PH at 5.8-6.0
It's hot! 89 Degree peak yesterday, more fans It looks like.
I'll probably just build two more boxes, one veg, and one flower. Building a grow box out of the ikea was fun!

I think I am going to switch to 12/12 at the end of august, with the natural cycle. This will help with my temp problem of a poorly ventilated box.
After this harvest I am going to re-design two boxes. One for Clone/Mother/Veg and one for Flowering.
