Tis the season to be jolly. This is my 2011 guerilla patch that i planted 6/15 and 6/18. seeds were started indoors beginning of May and have been growing under one large CFL (125 watt i think). I've got my cheesequake and qrazy train from subcool which are both unsexed as of now, and i've got a GH jack herer and kandy kush from RP which are fems, but have yet to show sex. All were topped between the 4th and 5th node, and the only problems i've had so far were a magnesium def. which showed up around the 4th week and really only affected my jack herer and CQ. This was taken care of with some epsom salts first then to prevent the problem i've been giving consistant feedings with BC cal-mag. For nutes i'm using FF grow big and tiger bloom along with cal mag. I also start feeding molasses at around the 4th week of flowering.
For soil i use shellfish compost with about 1/2 pro-mix and native soil. The native soil around here has a fair amount of clay, so i only really use the good topsoil and some of the sandier soil is nice to add for drainage. I dig decent size hole about 2 feet wide and as deep as i can dig til i hit the solid clay around 2.5- 3 feet down. Three of my holes are reused from last year, but i did break all the roots up using my machete and hatchet and re-amended the soil with new promix and compost. I had to put my qrazy train in a 10 gallon grow bag with a fresh soil mix. I planted the grow bag in an old ant mound which was covered in low bush blueberries ( my whole spot is covered in blueberries) and i sliced a bunch of x's in the bottom of the bag right before i plopped it in the hole so that the roots can grow into the soil and get they're own water if they get too dry. The soil is also very sandy in that mound so it should make for nice drainage.
The spot gets great all day sun from about 9-5 and it has a stream i have to go through on my way in, so i fill my water jugs there ( two 2.5 gallon tidy cat kitty litter jugs). I also plan on putting in a couple clones of lsd and ww from GH. I grow for my own personal use. pics. 1+2- QT ,3-CQ, 4- JH 5-kk 6- view towards the west. thanks for stopping by.
