No I got no beans from Subcool....sigh.....I was too fucking stoned to think right that day, although I did say Hi to him, and thanked him for all his help, super cool dude!
Weather update...
Monday night low was 59.1 degrees, and Tuesdays high was 84.2 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.
We received .92 inches of rain last night/this morning. Had to scramble to cover the girls in the bud box when I opened her up this morning. I put a few extra sliding doors over them, should be okay. (thanks for that idea Jozikins, I had something else in mind)
Last nights low was 56.1 degrees, and doubt we will reach 70 today (61.5 just before noon)

Woo! I helped. Haha.

Oh man, I'm jealous of the ripper, I've been lusting after that for a while. I don't know why, but I just can't seem to find any Jack Herrer strains around my parts. I'm about to order some though. I'm about to start ordering a variety of seeds. First up is playing around with little autoflower plants, I'm going to see how much money they can save me, and what type of product they give up.

Come on by and I'll cut you a few clones...
Weather up date....
Heavy rain (winter storm) this morning, and becoming mostly sunny by the evening hours. Weatherman said we received .92 inches of rain that storm, doozie for this time of year. Tuesday nights low was 57.6 degrees, and yesterdays high was 68.5. Last nights low was 53.3.
I'm off to Santa Barbara to drop my nephew off, and camp on the beach one night (El Capitain state park) .

DEAL!

I went to Santa Barbara Thursday to drop my Nephew off with his parents who are camping at El Captain State park which is right on the beach. Great weather, 70's, no fog at all, just beautiful...
I made my way down there with my fishing poles and went night fishing off the Goleta Pier. The Mackerel were biting big time. That was fun because I took my son (14)and nephew (13) my niece (19) and her boyfriend and they were on a "high" because all the fish we were catching. Great energy, everyone was having fun. I got tired of the Mackerel, so I pulled out the "BIG POLE" and threw a chunk of Mackerel on it and went shark fishing now. I ended up catching a 18" sand shark,. nothing I wanted to keep, but it got the blood pumping, the crowd I was with got a big kick out of the sand shark, great time.
Stayed until 8:00pm last night at the camp site after spending the day on the beach swimming, walked into the house at 2:00am....long day.

Weather update...
Thursdays high was 79.6 degrees after the storm, Thursday night low was 60.8, and Fridays high was 90.1. Weather is going to be very warm this week, everyday in the 7 day forecast has 100+ temps.

I've always wanted to grow in Santa Barbra. Granted; every nice area with good weather and rich soil I drive through I say "I want to grow here." But, I really, really want to grow in Santa Barbra. Lol.

I agree Santa Barbara is beautiful, but "high dollar" which is NOT ME!
Hello d-
Girls are doing great! Thanks for asking....
I have one plant in the weed cage that is going nuts....I thought it was a SR-71 PK, but I think a Mind Bender X Afghangooey was mis-labeled and put into the garden. Lokks like nothing else in the garden....

Hello all-
The girls got their first feeding of tea today. I brewed up 10 gallons and gave ONLY to the monsters in the cage and greenhouse. The girls in under the carport were given 3 heaping tablespoons of Maxsea each mixed into 5 gallons of water today too.

Tea ingredients are...per 5 gallon bucket
2-double handfuls of earthworm castings
1 double handful of forest humus
1 double handful of mushroom compost
2 tbs molasses
2 cups of Alaska Fish Emulsion 5-1-1
1 cup of Bat Guano 8-2-1
1 cup of soft phosphate
half cup Cotton seed meal
1 cup of Dr. Earths organic 7 which has....
Fish bone meal
Feather meal
alfalfa meal
mined potassium sulfate
phosphate
seaweed extract
and PRO-BIOTIC seven champion strains of beneficial soil microbes plus Ecto and Mycorrhizae.

All the above was put into a 5 gallon bucket and air was pumped into the tea while brewing. Each plant was given 1.5 gallons of tea and another 5 gallons of water was added on top. All the solids that were at the bottom the 5 gallon tea buckets was thrown on top of the soil equally. This will act as top dressing when watered in the future.
Enjoy your tea!

Oh wow! That tea is more like liquid organic fertilizer than it is tea! I bet you could easily cut that 50/50 with water and grow some amazing plants all by itself. Can you calculate roughly what the NPK is? You could probably take out your base nutrients. I really had to remove my A&B formula because my plants were over feed if I gave them both tea and A&B, they seem happier now with just the tea. I <3 Organics!

What's up Joz-
I have no idea what the NPK values are of that tea. I change it up during bloom season. I use the same stuff, but the bat guano is 0-5-0, and the Alaskan Fish "bloom" Emulsion (0-10-0 I think). More cotton seed and Alfalfa meal during bloom too.
After I add the tea, I top water over the tea another 5 gallons. So the tea is diluted 3.5 to 1 ratio.
Happy Growing

Hello Mr Green-
Monsters in the cage and green house are 100% Organic grow, Yes, a super soil was made, recipe in a minute. I amend the soil in the garden starting in March. This is what I put in the soil:
FF bat Guano 0-5-0
Dolamite lime
Powered Alaskan Fish emulsion concentrate
Dr. Earths Fish bone meal
4cu ft of perlite
Humic acid
Mycorrhizae
Azomite
Bone meal
Blood Meal
Chicken manure Compost
Steer manure compost
Composted horse manure
Forest humus
I rototilled this in March and watered one to two times a week since. Then I turned with a pitch fork and added more water. I let this mix marinate awhile trying to get those "micro-beastie-herd" alive and active before the plants go in.

This is what I put in the super soil:1 Bag Fox Farms Ocean Forest
1 bag Kellogs Patio Mix ($4.97 a bag at Lowes)
1 large bag of Earthworm Castings
Quarter cup FF bat Guano 0-5-0
Cup Dolamite lime
Quarter cup of powered Alaskan Fish emulsion concentrate
Quarter cup of Dr. Earths Fish bone meal
3-4 shovel fulls of perlite
1 teaspoon humic acid
3-4 tablespoons of Mycorrhizae
2 table spoons of Azomite
Quarter cup Bone meal
Quarter cup Blood Meal
Couple shovel fulls of Chicken manure Compost
Couple shovel fulls of Steer manure compost
5 gallon bucket of composted horse manure
5 gallon bucket of forest humus
2-5 gallon buckets of existing soil in garden.
1 cup of dried molasses
I put all this in an old cast iron bath tub and mix thoroughly. Then place in 33 gallon rubber maid trash cans with hole on the bottom, add water and let cook for a few weeks. I add water every few days, dump them back into the tub, mix a bit, and back into the trash cans. I'm trying to create an active"micro-beastie" herd in those trash cans buckets.
I ended up using 12 bags of FF O.F., 12 bags of earthworm castings,12 bags Kelloggs Patio Plus soil, ......you can do the math on the rest. This is time consuming, and labor intensive, but it all pays back big in the end.
Hope this helps
