I'm doing that with sensi seeds jack herer this year. Seed packs are way worth it at any price when you buy one pack and make yourself a live time supply of seeds with it.

I loved my XJ13, I miss growing it now after seeing more of it's beautiful bud porn. Luckily my buddy has a fresh tray of cuts that I could almost undoubtedly snag a few off of for free. How do you like that Pineapple Express? I just ordered seeds an hour ago and I was seriously just about to buy the Vortex! But I went with a cheaper Nirvana strain because 2 awesome subcool strains are available for free in the next few hours with attitude seed bank. In a few weeks I will get more stuff with subcool and probably a new Cali Connection strain.

So did I really miss out when I went with White Castle instead of Vortex?

Damn Dan your plants are HUGE! Did you start them indoor at all? Or did you start germing them outside that early with no supplemental lighting? If you did the latter, I know what I'm gonna try next year !!! Either way, awesome grow dude, your plants are soooo fat.

It's fucking amazing. If I had to pick one strain to smoke for the rest of my life it'd be pineapple express. The high lasts twice as long as any other smoke I have. The taste is unmatched. It's true top shelf.

I got a pack of vortex seeds for next years outdoor. For me, I don't factor in price at all when buying seeds/clones because I cut my own clones and make my own seeds. That makes them worth it at any price. When I see a strain I like, I go out and do what ever it takes to find it. I order seeds, drive to Arcata, Sac, LA, whatever it takes. I know what I like.

So did I really miss out when I went with White Castle instead of Vortex?
I have no idea. I've never grown white castle. Also I'm not sure if all vortex is this good or it's just my pheno.

No indoor lighting for my outdoor plants at any point.

Or did you start germing them outside that early with no supplemental lighting?
I germinate them in a wet paper towel in a zip lock bag under my sink, when they crack open I put them strait into their big pots.

If you did the latter, I know what I'm gonna try next year !!! Either way, awesome grow dude, your plants are soooo fat.
Careful if you do. My method does involve losing a lot of seeds. I wouldn't be able to do it this way if I didn't make my own seeds. If you do it like this, make sure you're growing extra seeds or have easy access to clones.

Dude, I know how you feel about going out to get the seeds no matter what. Right now I am bugging people left and right up north to get me a cut of that 45 day trainwreck! I also have my friend from NC trying to get me AJ's Cut, and then I will bus out there to bring it back in an ice chest. I'm also trying to get some of that Orginial God's Gun from San Diego too. It'll all be worth it. I'm definitely going to pick up some of that Pineapple Express, you fucking sold me on it. Normally price of seed means nothing to me, I don't care how expensive it is is I will use at least 1 breeding pair to breed it out if I can, but I have a shitty space for breeding. One day, I'll be a hot shot like you, with a big fatty green house, a nice indoor set up, and a breeding room. But breeding is my next pioneer. I bet you freaking love it, don't you?

And I agree with JJ, I started looking at USB Microscopes yesterday, I'm going to pick on up with a stand, because you said the lack of OIS is sort of a bitch.

Thanks man. Wasn't planning on making a thread, but several posters requested I make one. For that reason I got a late start on creating a thread so it isn't as big as some of the others and kind of stays on the DL.

If you like train wreck try to track down billygoat seeds. He's got two of them that are both the best wrecks out there. E32 wreck and arcata wreck are both off the hook. Both have 25% thc potential, no joke.

I ran into him at the hightimes cup and he hooked me up with seeds. Was so fucking stoked on that I germinated them right away.

Never heard of them. What are they like?

You won't regret it. It's g13 labs. Easy as fuck to get. I can't figure out why everyone isn't growing this strain. It's fucking epic.

That's the thing about seeds. If buying seeds means you get an unlimited supply of seeds/clones, then it's always worth it. But if they are for just one grow, then price comes into effect.

One day, I'll be a hot shot like you, with a big fatty green house, a nice indoor set up, and a breeding room. But breeding is my next pioneer. I bet you freaking love it, don't you?
lol. I'm not a hot shot. I consider my outdoor set up to be small/medium sized at best. Every time I go visit my friends up in humbolt/mendo I feel like a rookie. Even my hydro setup looks pathetic compared to some of my friends up in SF and Oakland. I'm quite small time.

And I agree with JJ, I started looking at USB Microscopes yesterday, I'm going to pick on up with a stand, because you said the lack of OIS is sort of a bitch.
well it's a cheap as fuck kids toy, so it's to be expected. I'm sure there are better ones out there.

Dude, thank you very much for the tip on Trainwreck, I'll look around on line, otherwise I'll be coming up north by the end of August to pick some of those bad boys up! Please let me in on any other good resources up there I should look into during my trip.

AJ's cut is supposedly the very first sour diesel, it is cut only and is also known as "East Coast Sour Diesel" I now Cali Connection uses it to make that legendary-dank "Original Sour Diesel", and a few other dutch seed banks got their hands on it and use it for breeding, everyone breeds with it, I might, but I really just want to grow out some extra-extra glorious sour diesel. It's been too long since I've had glorious sour diesel. Last time it was a REZDOG blend (I don't grow rezdog, purely out of loyalty to CaliConnections, call it ignorance if you'd like) and it was pretty good, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. Good Sour Diesel has a very very strong medical effect on patients with digestive and anxiety disorders like I do, this rezdog shit did not have that quality to it.

Pineapple Express isn't more popular because it is named after a movie so people are skeptical that it is just a gimmick, I was until you told me about it. I was looking at last night as well as the Sour AK and Sour Candy from G13 labs before I ordered the White Castle. Ultimately my decision came from how much was on my gift card. I bought an expensive beer with the gift card without thinking about it, so I was just 5 dollars shy. I prefer to use someone else' address and a gift card while ordering seeds. I wish I had 3 more bucks on top of what I had after I ordered the White Castle so I could have guaranteed shipping, but oh well. Have you ever called up attitude? Lovely English accents. Haha

I know what you mean with the big timers up, I've seen a few gardens that brought tears to my eyes. But your still head and shoulders above the competition in socal.

10g pots can grow nice plants. IMO growing in pots smaller than that outside just aren't worth the effort. 5 gallons is just too small unless it's just a clone or something you're throwing outside late in the season.

The way I see it, if I'm going to grow a plant anyways, I might as well use big ass pots. It doesn't take much more effort to grow in a 45 gallon garbage can than it does a 5 gallon pot. In fact I'd say growing in a bigger container takes less effort because they aren't going to get rootbound as quickly and don't require constant watering towards the end of the year like a 5g pot. To me it makes no sense to grow in anything less than a 10 gallon pot unless you are trying to keep your plants small because the neighbors will trip.

So if you're going to grow anyways, might as well have big fucking plants right? I'm positive I put much less effort into my grow than many people here growing in 5 gallon pots. It's a lot of fucking work to mix the soil, build the greenhouse, put in the drip system, etc. But all that is finished by march. After that the only work I do out there is bracing and bending branches. This grow takes maybe an hour a week at most to maintain. As you can see, it's all perfectly healthy and growing to the exact size I want. If you come up with a good plan ahead of time, outdoor growing takes little effort.

Trimming it all on the other hand is a different story.

I have no idea where to buy them online or in stores. Billygoat is really fucking good at breading, and really fucking bad at marketing/selling. That's why I was so stoked to run into him at the cannabis cup. Ended up kicking it with him for an hour or so. I told him that I was making crosses with his e32 wreck and he was really stoked and gave me a bunch of seeds for encouragement. He hooked me up with wreck seeds then we started discussing thai strains and he told me I must give his original strain, oriental express a try. I've never seen it as a final product but I do know that oriental express + his wreck are the thai and wreck that went into breading casey jones, so it sounds like a winner to me. I'll be growing them out in my next year's outdoor grow.

All I know, is that if you can track down e32 wreck or arcata wreck, get it. They are fucking amazing.

Yeah, I was skeptical too until my aunt grew it last year. Tried it once and I was sold. It's one of the few times hollywood didn't exaggerate how good it is.

I've actually hear bad things about G13 labs strains in general. This strain was not bread by them, they even admit they have no idea what the genetics are. There is quite a bit of speculation on how they got this strain, but who knows...

I prefer to use someone else' address and a gift card while ordering seeds.
I never order anything grow related to the spot I grow.
