updated to include that this list only pertains to soil, not hydro or soillesswhat about coco?
i hardly ever flush............im bad......updated to include that this list only pertains to soil, not hydro or soilless
i hardly ever flush............im bad......
mine are always just green in coco..............If its yellow let it mellow......if its brown flush it down
no sparks for me in my volcano lol...thats hi magnesium i think if it sizzles.......have you ever smoked bud that sizzled and popped? thats the nutes sizzling away cuz it wasnt flushed. i usually find this in a lot of local dro around here the plants will sizzle and spark almost like a spark from a sparkler. i dont see it often but i do see it from time to time
no that's moisture from improper dry and cure.have you ever smoked bud that sizzled and popped? thats the nutes sizzling away cuz it wasnt flushed. i usually find this in a lot of local dro around here the plants will sizzle and spark almost like a spark from a sparkler. i dont see it often but i do see it from time to time
I was talking out of my ass there.. Ive grown hydro my whole life using the same synthetic nutrients.. i agree completly same nutrients and minerals only derived and introduced differently. maybe the chleating agents make a difference.. ive heard some can be petroleum based..?? ive never tested the theory. flushing makes a difference in hydro and ill leave it alonesee, i completely disagree.. what difference does organic make to the taste of the buds over chemical ferts?? let's think about this logically.. are organic means is that they are chemicals that are / were derived from carbon, or living organisms.. they are still chemicals none the less, and they are the same exact chemicals that one would find in chemical fertilizers, same exact chemicals.. nitrogen is still nitrogen whether it's man made or nature made correct?? of course it is, same with phospherous and every other chem that is used in growing..
when is nitrogen not nitrogen? never, so what difference does it make if it comes from a factory of from the ground or some bird shit? none..
that's just wrong information you were fed when you first started to smoke and asked someone why it did that. They didn't know either, because they did the same thing. Sizzling and crackling is either immature seeds that developed close to the end of the grow cycle, improperly dried bud as djruiner pointed out, or it could be pesticides if your grower sprayed some directly on the nug to deal with a mite problem.have you ever smoked bud that sizzled and popped? thats the nutes sizzling away cuz it wasnt flushed. i usually find this in a lot of local dro around here the plants will sizzle and spark almost like a spark from a sparkler. i dont see it often but i do see it from time to time
make a journal of it so i can watch it. you have to use a bright color like redflushin comes to mind when you vegged for a long period of time or when you burnt her i want to add food coloring to one of my nute feedings on 1 plant and see how long it takes to get rid of it once its in the plants vascular system lol then i will flush it and count how many days to get rid of it once it hit my top bud what color should i use i give it 3 weeks then cut bud in half hopefully the coloring is there then i will flush our suppose ed 2 / 3 weeks and seee if its gone lmaoooooooooooooooo
I am also part owner in a club in Michigan as well as operate 8 flood tables,i also grew in soil for 20 plus years of & on before going full hydroponic.I am a part owner in a dispensary in Colorado.....we get alot of hydro weed....I can so tell the difference between flushed weed and non flushed..so can my clients
in hydro grows..... you definatley have to flush for the last 10-14 days cause there is no filtering of nutes like in soil grows.
soil not so much mabey the last 2 waterings
In our soil grows we will use 1/2 of the fert the directions call for in flower.... then only water one or two times at the end of flower with just water
Hey Drruiner,if it tasted like chems then it was the bud...or other factors..when the soil breaks down your fert into usable compounds that can be transported around the plant whether your growing organic or with chem ferts the same elements are going into your plant...organic takes longer because of the whole eat...poop...feed thing... where chem ferts are instantly absorbed by the plant. so when your flushing at the end your not flushing the chemicals out of the plant...and not going into the science as to why...but nothing is removed from the plant when flushed...your just depriving it of food at its most important stage of development. flushing was started by shitty indoor dutch growers that over ferted their crops and told everyone flushing was good (to cover up their mistakes). in any other area of botany flushing is referred to as "leeching" so if someone says the word flush....call bullshit instantly
once again not knowing the difference between leeching and flushing...google leeching or wicking...which is what happens when it rains. since the plant can not uptake nutes when the ph is out of range (most rain water has a ph around 5.6-5.8 ) it leeches the water out of the soil so that it can get to the nutes...and during this leeching process the soil buffers back to normal and the plant can uptake nutes again...the same reason if you look in nature the biggest growth of plants happens after it rains...after the low ph water is wicked off...it starts sucking up as many nutes as it can....raining and flushing have nothing in common. many growers including myself use the "make it rain" method where we purposely water with plain tap water ph'd around 5.6 then after it wicks the water out we instantly feed it within hours after making it rain...its all about recreating nature...nature tells us whats best...not a bunch of ego driven kids on a forum that dont know the difference between a plant and their asshole. My take on Flush:
Some poeple argue that farmers don't flush their crops. But in a sense they do. They fertilize from the beginning, maybe another dose mid way through the season, though it could be for pests. But the natural rain water throughout the grow is a flush. They don't keep adding nutrients throughout the grow. They are flushing, but with natural rain water. So I flush.
I don't say I'm an expert, nor do I say I can taste the difference. Just my opinion.
