heres a myth.......12-12 from seed makes low quality and low weight yield...........12-12 from seed rocks........
Del how many dry grams per watt you get from 12 / 12 seed you may think it rocks but IMO 12 / 12 from seed gives you really nothing seedlings are not mature plants i dont think dont quote me on this but think im goin to try guessing my mature clone can and will produce more yield then a seed on 12 / 12 curious on whats your final height from a seedling on 12/ 12 look at these pics 3 " clone and in 2 weeks in flower there anywheres from 16 to 18 " tall :)) final height 42 - 48" tall under 1 milllion lumens :))

I disagree with the flushing thing. I half ass flushed one of my plants and you can taste the chemicals in it compared to the buds that were flushed out.
i agree. flushed forever and then stopped because "flush your toilet, not your plant" i let the salts fall from 1200 to 900ppm but it still had a bad taste. went back to flushing and never been happier.

I am a part owner in a dispensary in Colorado.....we get alot of hydro weed....I can so tell the difference between flushed weed and non flushed..so can my clients

in hydro grows..... you definatley have to flush for the last 10-14 days cause there is no filtering of nutes like in soil grows.

soil not so much mabey the last 2 waterings

In our soil grows we will use 1/2 of the fert the directions call for in flower.... then only water one or two times at the end of flower with just water

Bamfivet.... The kick ass TRUTH!! There is zero to argue with his post

I see people argue about flushing more than any so will give my .02

If you over feed then you need to flush, If you dry & cure correctly then you wont get that so called chemical taste (this taste is actually from chlorophyll), if you flush your plants by giving only water for last 2 weeks, you actually lower your yield and starve your plants.

really heres my CJ with 10 days of a flush... last 2 times just water (no fert in the water).... after it dries this time... its down :)

Its not so mush flushing in soil as it is just using regular water ....I dont water til it comes out of the potter.

Flushing in soil is when you have a salt buildup in the soil from ferts.... the run off will be brown in color.... you run alot of water through your soil/potter until its clear again

flushing might work for you somehow... I dunno. Maybe it's just because your so set in the idea you need a flush that it tastes different. If I gave you two nugs that were properly cured and dried, one flushed one not, you might be able to tell the difference because they unflushed would be stronger and taste better. There is no way that flushing water and starving your plant reduces any of the nutes in your nug. Nutes don't go straight to your nug from the soil. The plant breaks it down into forms it can use and then converts those nutrients into plant growth and energy. The nutes are already in the nug, you can't flush them out from the inside out like that. You can water cure if you choose and help remove more of the build ups in the nug... but flushing will do nothing but harm your plant.

i use hydro. my ppm pen tells me when to add more nutes, or more water.. my range is 1000 to 1300 in bloom and i steadily increase through the bloom. my plants rarely lockout from nute toxity, and when they do i catch it with the pen and correct. i never overfeed. i tried them at the 1200-1300 and they tasted awful. i let some drop to around 800-900 by topping off for the last week.. still tasted it.. 5 days flush taste great and every day extra is icing.

There is a big difference between hydro and soil grows as I stated :) In a hydro flush in the course of a 1-2 week period the nutes get all used up thats why leaves start to change color

5 days of flush... thats great, problem is most people are told to flush or what it really is holding back any nutes to their plants for 2 weeks.
I personally lower my nutes last couple weeks, and do last 2 feeds with just water, and just fine.

lowering the nutes helps for sure and can even make some tasty nuggs but the pure water flush just takes it the extra mile?. colonuggs.. . also most soil grows use organics/microbes, where alot of hydro growers use synthetics and sanitizers. organics probably dont need to be flushed and i think this has alot to do with the contraversay. a plant in soil with a full organic line probably taste pretty fuggin good(unflushed)

Okay, I added a note on the original post that for the flushing i'm only talking about Soil, as I know nothing about hydro. Also all of these myths are in reference to Soil grows, not Hydro. Sorry for any confusion. Maybe someone can educate me on some hydro myths to add onto the list so we get a more full list of myths.

what about coco?

I thought flushing released some of the salts stored from left over nutes... I do it anyway and the plants react magnificently, though I don't do it in flowering because I don't even use nutes that late in the process

see, i completely disagree.. what difference does organic make to the taste of the buds over chemical ferts?? let's think about this logically.. are organic means is that they are chemicals that are / were derived from carbon, or living organisms.. they are still chemicals none the less, and they are the same exact chemicals that one would find in chemical fertilizers, same exact chemicals.. nitrogen is still nitrogen whether it's man made or nature made correct?? of course it is, same with phospherous and every other chem that is used in growing..
when is nitrogen not nitrogen? never, so what difference does it make if it comes from a factory of from the ground or some bird shit? none..
