All kinds of problems

I started growing these in a corn field and they were doing great for the first 2 weeks. I would water them with rain water or ground water from a well (hi iron content) but this same ground water is used on all kinds of other plants with no problems. They were originally in pots.

The corn is growing like mad despite the lack of rain (3 weeks with none) so I decide I will add some miracle grow when I water. I dilute it so that its less strong than the package recommends (22 ml per 6L). With in 3 days the plants like look the pictures. I typically water every 3 days.

I don't know if I have burnt the roots, or if the ground is too hard without the right nutrients. I have gone back to rain water (I have rain barrels) and I hope they recover. I have loosened the soil around the plants but didn't go too deep.

My question would be would you suggest adding any nutrients and if so which ones. Thanks in advance.

That mg really torched them. Fuck what a job it did. No nutes for 3 weeks, give them another flush and only your rain water for now.

Thanks. I am so appreciative of the reply! At least I know the cause now. I figured it had to be the mg. Do you think they will recover or are they done? I watered them with rain water this morning. Should I do that every day in attempt to flush them? Or will I end up drowning them?

No dont water /flush everyday, yes, u will drown them. Only time will heal all wounds, in 2-3 weeks they should bounce back, its a slow process.

indeed my friend.. patience is keywhenever it comes to growing.

I'm not showing off or anything like that.. and those of you who kinda know me around here, know that I'm not the type of person to "show off"

with that said, on with what I want to say.

I rarely ever have problems with my ladies. Its not because I'm some kind of "pro" at growing or anything like that, its because I take the time out of my "free time", and do my research. I take the time to actually take in what I read.. instead of just rushing through it, wanting everything to happen overnight. The fact is, is learning how to grow isn't going to happen over night.. and once you as the grower can realize this, the better off you will be on your growing journey. I usually try to make sure I'm stoned whenever I'm doing research and or reading articles on growing.. it helps me relax and really focus all my attention into reading and remembering what I read.

Whenever you try to rush things.. it doesn't do you any good. Rushing things only compounds any problems that you may already have.. therefore distracting your attention/focus away from what your trying to do at the time.

Just like you said.. when a plant gets stressed out too much, they react. They usually react by stopping/slowing growth.. which in return gets the attention of the grower. The grower (new grower) gets excited and overwhelmed by what he/she is seeing.. and this is where they usually begin to make major mistakes.. such as overfeeding with nutrients to try and "revive" the plant.. or to possibly try and force the plant to grow.. which becomes a major problem within 12 to 24 hours. Once the grower see's the negative impact that their actions have taken on their plant(s).. then they really freak out.. and this is where the grow usually ends for the grower and plant.

My point is.. is growing takes great patience and knowledge. It's not rocket science by any means.. its not hard, but many times.. the grower makes it hard for themselves by rushing things and making mistakes... so you need to be as patient as you can possibly be when growing cannabis. The plant will do what it wants.. and will do great/beautiful things for the grower.. if its left alone and properly cared for and looked after.

Before I started growing.. I was very impatient. Seriously.. I was very very impatient and kind of hypertensive. I swear to ya.. after growing now for almost 5 years, I've actually gained patience! I'm much more patient than I use to be.. much much more patient in fact. Just goes to show that growing cannabis can actually teach the grower a few things. ;)

peace.

this is why i stopped using MG the shit is junk! its to full of chemicals and salts.if you have rain water then just do that it has everything your gerls need to survive.and corn growes a hell of alot faster than cannabis so dont expect it to be as high as the corn lol.just water and itl bounce back like bud said its gonna take some time but you will reap rewards guaranteed :)

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I have freaked out because they were doing okay and then wham, virtually dead. It is unbelievably hot and humid here. 90 F + humidity making it feel like well over 100 F. I'm in a northern climate so this is extremely hot. Not uncommon of course but just plain gross out. Maybe thats ideal growing conditions? Seems so hot that I may have even been over zelaous when I water, because of the lack of rain but that doesn't appear to be the cause. Now after reading the replies it has to be the mg. I will not water with the well water due to the high iron content. Let's hope that with some time and some rain water that I apply conservatively they will bounce back. They look like they are dead but maybe they'll be strong and hang on. I will keep you posted with updates now and then as any success I do have will be partly the result of you sharing your advice.

Thank you!
