Wow, those C99's look so crisp jesus.... I dont think i've seen a better seedling.
And penny is coming along like a trooper, showing off
her shit to all those G13 plants.
my seedlings were planted on the 24th, so about eight days.
they are coming along, just slow.
Aye the C99 are looking really nice
Penny is getting along nicely even outgrowing some G13 x Haze now!
8 days isn't much, give 'em time

Update time!
We have been very busy lately setting everything up and getting it all perfect.
Some of our plants aren't growing very fast, I have a hunch it might be the STG.
Most of our plants are looking healthy though and we're hoping for the best

Cheers, the C99s are really showing their 'true colours'.
They are growing fast and well, retaining good colour and they will probably be able to handle flowering before any of our other strains
Once we have the flowering room all set up we will make another video to show off the entire grow space.
We only need to put up some mylar, hook up our vent-system and place our buckets

Yea i'm sure your C99s will be fine, the tangerine is still troopin along though thats great to see.

Flowering room sounds like it's gonna be nice!

My two seedlings are getting like rough, deep, weird looking leaves. Like they curl and have deep crevices and shit, instead of being flat and crisp.
I think its probably from PH problems though cause I was feeding them bottled water, turns out the bottled water is 8.0 PH.

Penny is trooping along ye
It looks really good and we actually have space for 4 more buckets (8 more plants) but we are starting out with just 1 lamp & 4 buckets atm.
Yes we are doing DWC. Two plants in each bucket (30 liter bucket).
Two airstones per bucket as well.
That sounds like a nutrient or pH problem ye.
But it could be a genetic trait as well, our G13 x Haze are growing much thicker and rough looking leaves than our C99 for example.
Although I would agree that if it looks too weird it might be a problem.
Is your bottled water 8 pH? Jesus christ..

Great news!
We've worked all evening and now the flowering room is ready! We have already placed eight of the C99s (we have a total of 9) in the flowering buckets.
We are not flowering the C99s however. They are still in vegetative growth.
We are just testing our 600W bulb to see if they grow faster.
We will make an update with photos and a movie tomorrow

Worked for 7 hours straight today and now the flowering room is done.
As Weeman said we have placed our C99s in the room with a 600W bulb.
This will give the roots all the space they need and hopefully make them very happy

Update time!
We have now transformed the basement completely.
It's all come together with minor errors and the only thing broken is our fan (which you will hear in the video).
We're starting the update with pictures of our strains still in the mother room.
G13 x Haze

And a single C99
The G13 x Haze and Pineapple Chunk are growing pretty fast but not nearly as fast as the C99 in regards to height and root system development.
Therefore we have (as mentioned) placed 8 C99 in our flowering room.
These are not being flowered they are still in vegetative growth.
We're letting 'Penny' (Tangerine Dream) take her time, she's doing a lot better btw.
She was very yellowish and tiny but she has put on weight and improved immensely in colour!

I have some additional technical info for those interested.
The four buckets are being run with a quadro air pump (4 exits) leading to 2 of the buckets and 2 dual exit pumps which cross over so 1 pump delivers air to two buckets.
Therefore if one fails, air will still be present in both buckets.
We are running the 600W through an electronic ballast located outside the grow area itself.
There is presently not a fan there but there is going to be a fan next to the ballast blowing a constant stream of "new" air into the flowering room.
Air circulation is important
The buckets can be individually moved and will be space however it fits depending on size of the different plants.
We cannot expect all of the eight to turn out females (we are hoping of course) so there will be a replacing at some point when we actually know the sex of the plants.
Which of course won't be until we flower the C99 in 1-3 weeks depending on the state of them.
We are still missing our scrog (which is being worked on).
It will be two scrog squares covering 2 buckets each if all goes by the plan.
We have bought a new light system for the mother room which has 2 x 75W bulbs and a stronger light intensity and lumen than the old one we had.
We are still pondering wether to buy a new 250W CFL for the old light system in the mother room to give the room more light but we are not sure if that is needed yet.

Everything sounds about right, you shouldn't need a direct fan blowing on your ballast in my opinion if its just sitting on something.
It gets hot, but not hot hot. I initially had my inline exhaust blowing the exhaust air onto my ballast to cool it, but then i took it off for a day and figured it was pointless O.O.
ladies are lookin lush man! even those G13 seem like they grew a backbone and perked their ass up.
damn man, your setup is just a bunch more things on my wishlist.

We're not planning to have the fan blow onto the ballast.
The fan will blow "new" air into our flowering room (intake) to refresh the oxygen and make a good airflow.
The ballast will just get minor glancing blows.
All the plants are really responding well to the nutrients and the environment.
We haven't had any pest problems either.
'The grass is always greener on the other side'.
We also have a lot of wishes to improve

hell yea man they look like they are responding quite well.
and your setup is a new one I haven't seen done before so don't be scared to take pictures of all the small little details too.
i'm sure they might come in handy when trying to explain stuff :]

Hehe happens to all ^^
Funny how I just mentioned "We haven't had any pest problems either" and when I go into the mother room I see pest on one of the PCs.
I'll get a bit closer with the pictures and focus on details in the next update (which will be tomorrow I think).
But overall it's still very simple DWC just with a wooden structure supporting everything and a funny divide of the rooms (due to the pipes in the ceiling).
It's a bit hard moving the water into the rooms but since we don't have to do it that often it's ok.
What's fun about if you don't break a sweat for your ladies

glad to hear, i'll give it a look when I get home.
veg is just more fun cause you can play more.
but i'm more interested in how plants look before flowering.
like leaf sizes, color, and all that stuff. nugs all end up looking the same in the long run, broken up, and in a joint.
