Thanks brotha. Think im gonna be flippin them to 12/12 in 1-2 weeks. Depending on growth. Want them at about 12-15 inch and they are 9-10.
By the way I forgot to mention that for the first two weeks I had them under 24 hour light and last week I switched to 18/6 to conserve electricity and I noticed a huge growth increase. I thought it would be the opposite but not in this case. Most likely do to them stretchiing during night time right?

Yeah they stretch in the dark i did 24 hours my whole veg, kinda wish i let it veg for an extra week or so but oh well first sucessful grow gotta learn some how!
Yeah i woulda kept it under 24 but don't want the e bill to go up too much since im not the one payin it n tryin to keep secret. Also the 6 dark hours helps because I don't need to run ac for those 6 hours of peak daytime heat.

I just finished( prematurely) sum sfv og check my posts I have decent pics. I just got 6 sd clones today so I'm starting the new gro.

theyre going to notice a change in the bill. youve got 400W running 24/7(now 18/7 haha)
night time is important to plants. they need a rest. ive heard roots grow at night too

Luger: yeah itt will probably be like extra 20 bucks a month at the most including all the fans and stuff (if I did the math correct and I don't know exactly how much it is per kw cuz I've never seen the bill). Im renting the house from gfs dad so its not a big deal if he finds outs, he smokes with us and knows I have my medical card but id still rather keep it secret if possible.

yeah i can only amagine how hot it gets there i havent seen it hit over 30c here yet this summer 27 with 50 humidity today was hot though,,
and i am not sure maybe a couple more weeks to a month

Yeah definetly nice. Just surfed huntington the other day and it was overhead. Doesn't usually get that big during tthe summer.
Anyways... the ladies are growin like crazy. Platinum bubbas are both about 12 inches tall and about same wide. The pre98s about 10x10 and the sfv is stayin real bushy and is only about 9x12. Ill take some better pics tmrw.
I've been trying to find a cmh bulb locally but no one has it. I guess none of the hydro suppliers carry it because its not really advertised for hordicultture untill now. My bud at tthe shop said he's gonna make an account with phillips and order one for me as soon as he can. Im want to flower real soon because I don't want them getting over 15 in tall and I need that cmh bulb to flower with!
By tthe way.. im so baked. Ate 2 cookies my girl just made with my sour diesel trim to sell to the local clubs and they are bomb!

haha thats awesome wish i had some of those cookies!! yeah cmh would be nice all i used was this time was the cfls worked great so far next time im gonna get a 150 hps and cmh plus use the cfls to spread around the extra spectrum..
Yeah I never knew it was possible to grow something worthy with just those lil cfls untill I got on tthis forum. Props to you guys. I think im gna use cfls temperarly to set up a veg room to put my mothers n clones in when I flip the closet to 12/12. Which bulbs should I get for this (spectrum, watts)? How many? I need enough light to support 2 mothers and 4 clones . Also how are the cfls on the electric bill?

i hardly noticed a change like $5 roughly a month now... and you need say for 6 plants 100watts for the first one and 50 watts per extra plant is a minimum to go by... i would get 4 x 42watt 6500k for the mothers and at least 2 x 42watt 6500k for the clones in veg, and for flower if you use cfl Get at least 2 x 42watt 2700k per plant and try and spread the light around the sides if you have the room!!
that's not bad at all. So ill prolly just go that route untill I get some t5s. Thanks for info man. Im probably juust going to make a 4x4x5 box outa 2x4s n plywood so I think that should be enough room for them. How much heat do these produce? Will I able to get away with just runnin an oscilating fan in the box or will I need to put an exhaust fan on it?

well they dont produce to much heat but if the box is sealed for light proofing it would be a good idea to rig up an intake and exhaust fan i just cut holes in the box and bought a couple $10 fans for the fact that the plants will need fresh Co2 to breath in and to exhaust off the oxygen it breaths out!!
im looking into hps and mh lights now plus i will still use the cfl for extra coverage around the plants next grow!!
Ok ill just probably end up using an extra 8in booster fan that i got for the exhaust and just have a filtered hole for intake. Going super cheap on this box cuz moneys tight untill harvest time at the big grow. So don't wanna buy any expesive fans. Actually I got a couple computter fans I pullled from my old comp before I threw it out. Ones prolly like 4 inches and the others ones like 6. So iim sure those will work for an intake.
Can anyone explain to me how to hook computer fans for my box? They come with those 3 or 4 wire plugs so I have no clue how to wire it. When it comes to wiring I can do Direct Current (I build trophy ttrucks for a living) but alternating current I don't know shit about.

Yeah the computer fans should work not sure how to hook them up though sorry!! i need to upgrade my grow box as well gonna start over and build a box my-self next time soon gonna build a 4x4x5 feet high box and properly set everything up but like yourself money is tight until i go back to work for the winter!!
