I buy a 1oz package of SubCulture at the hydroshop for $15. One pack will do 50 gallons. I have seen it online in 1 oz packs as well.is this what im looking for
SubCulture–Microbial Root Inoculant
i am having a hard time finding it realy anywhere else.. 50 bux is the cheapest that i have found i donno if i can get a smaller container somewhere else... after looking at my good plant it looks like the roots aregetting that nasty orange color to them as well as the rest of my herbs.. i want to try and get this ordered asap to try and fix the one good plant thats just begining to show signs of root rot.. PS i bought an air stone today
would i use hygrozyme instead of the hydroguard not the microbial correct?
It is caused by the roots being deprived of oxygen and standing in un-aerated water. The best way to control it is aerate the water and cleanliness. Use fresh water and clean your rez when you change your nutes. Add a air pump with a air stone to your rez and flush with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and distilled water. Keep your pH between 5.8 and 6 to lower disease occurrence. The rez temp in my AG's stay around 70-80 F. Its not the temp but lack of oxygen to the roots that causes the rot. The microbial in the SubCulture and nutes need oxygen too.just got a package of subculture to go with the Hygrozyme and the florashield.. ps could warm water have contributed to the growth of the bad stuff on the roots?
