is this what im looking for
SubCulture–Microbial Root Inoculant

i am having a hard time finding it realy anywhere else.. 50 bux is the cheapest that i have found i donno if i can get a smaller container somewhere else... after looking at my good plant it looks like the roots aregetting that nasty orange color to them as well as the rest of my herbs.. i want to try and get this ordered asap to try and fix the one good plant thats just begining to show signs of root rot.. PS i bought an air stone today

would i use hygrozyme instead of the hydroguard not the microbial correct?
I buy a 1oz package of SubCulture at the hydroshop for $15. One pack will do 50 gallons. I have seen it online in 1 oz packs as well.

just got a package of subculture to go with the Hygrozyme and the florashield.. ps could warm water have contributed to the growth of the bad stuff on the roots?

It is caused by the roots being deprived of oxygen and standing in un-aerated water. The best way to control it is aerate the water and cleanliness. Use fresh water and clean your rez when you change your nutes. Add a air pump with a air stone to your rez and flush with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and distilled water. Keep your pH between 5.8 and 6 to lower disease occurrence. The rez temp in my AG's stay around 70-80 F. Its not the temp but lack of oxygen to the roots that causes the rot. The microbial in the SubCulture and nutes need oxygen too.

got an airstone a few days ago today i added a fan.. gonna get the ph lowering and raising kit instead of using vinager i think and will start using distilled water. I guess keeping that tank clean is very important also... with the herbs you dont have to change the water or anything just add more water. I guess with these kind of herbs its different then basil thyme dill and parsley..i think i willl get an air pump as well.. thanks for all the great advice.. i hope we can save this little plant :)
