Hi fellas.
I wanted to share with you my latest cloning method. So far I have only practiced this one time and my success is 11/12.
Soak Rockwool cubes in pH 5.8 - 6.2 balanced water for 24 hours
Mix in rooting stimulant, this f.ex is mixed 1ml / 1L of water
Push the cubes into 2inch net pots and shake excess water out
Drop it upside down on hard surface to push the cube to the top of the pot
The spacing from the bottom of the net pot to the lowest part of the cube should be something similar to this
Poke a hole in the cube, I use a screwdriver
You can see how deep the screw driver goes, maybe 1/2 - 3/4inch down
Find suitable clone material, preferably at the top of the plant and cut below the 4th node. Count: top=1, 2, 3,4 nodes and cut below that
This is what the cutting should look like.
Snip of the lowest node and all of the extra thin plant material that might be left and dip the "open or wound" into Clonex cloning gel.
Stick the stem into the hole in the cube. Be careful to smear the gel not of the stem.
Cut of 50-60% of fan leaves that are too large, they should be around 1-1.5 inches long. (approx)
Mist it with water (I just use tap water)
And that's it. You can now place you clone inside your preferred humidity dome or mega cloner or what you want to call it. All should do the job. I used this time a homemade humidity dome made from 1" x 1" wood frame and food plastic roll.
