I went from soil to hydro. I think the best thing about hydro is there isn't any guess work once you got your formula.

With soil I was doing 40 plants in 10 gal buckets. Mixing the soil is a BITCH! Better get out that snow shovel. We're talking 20 bags of Happy Frog, 2 big bags of perlite, NJ green sand, worm castings, guano...... You get the point. Moving and disposing the soil takes quite a bit of time. Plus you still gotta mix your nutes. I like my hydro, but check out Subcool's posts. There's a reason to go with soil!:joint::peace::joint:

Manny what soil mixture are you using? can you give any details on your growing methods?
Sure....

I use Pro-Mix. I have a 12 by 12 room in by basement. In there I have 1 cabinet that has the mothers and her clones in plastic cups(under three 4 foot fluro "shop lights")....I keep the clones in the cups for a couple of weeks....then I transplant to 2 gallon buckets AND move them to a larger cabinet I built...this cabinet has two 8 foot VHO fluroscents ...I fit 18 in there ....I leave them for about 2 weeks to let them develop some good roots and a get little bigger.....when around 12"-18" I move them to my main floor....I have Two 1000 watt hps lights on a sun twist light mover......Every 4 weeks I harvest 18 plants....At the same time....those 18 i cut down just got replaced by 18 from by Big cabinet...and at the same time (about) more clones are ready to be transplanted....and cut.....it's a big circle.....it keeps me busy....:blsmoke:

Man get you some oceans forest soil, botincare pro blend ,and you will never look back and who ever said 2 harvests a year is out of there mind, and for the most part you can only speed genetics up so much, dude make it sounds like doing hydro cuts weeks of the flowering time, thats bullshit. I switched and although to the eye it might seem like growth in soil is alot slower it really isnt that much slower, plus i do see a difference in the final product , but this is just based on my experience. Do it like nature intended you to , use soil.
