I have a seasonal job here in Alaska and it ends at the end of September. I'm a good, fast trimmer and need the work. Helping someone in Cali would be my first choice; I'm legal there and my growing stuff is in storage near Fresno and I can ship it up (along with my guitars and Marshall). I'm legit and can prove it. Anyone interested please PM me. Alaska is an expensive place to live and I can't go without work for too long. (my 3,000th post!)

Don't they pay you to live in alaska? I find it hard to believe the cost of living is higher there than california

Alaskans get the Permanent Fund Dividend every year. This coming year it's projected to be around $1,800 per person. And there is no state taxes here. The cost of food, gas and housing is about the same as Cali, depending on what part. I lived near Fresno (Oakhurst) and the COL was not nearly as bad as L.A. or the bay area. But then, I live in "Los Anchorage" (snicker snicker), the cheapest place in the state to live. Anchorage has a population of about 300,000; that's over half the state's population. Alaska is 2.3 times the size of Texas; that's roughly a mile per person.

I didn't do a grow here this year because I didn't think MJ would go into flower until 12/12, which is still a few weeks away. By then there may be snow flying. I Just found out yesterday that somehow this miraculous, beautiful plant *will* switch into the flowering cycle in time to beat the snow! That sure would have been nice to know back in April; I could have had fucking monster bushes up here by now. BTW, the best pot I've ever had came from here, MTF; it's legendary and very deserving of the legend; two hits and you're seeing God.

Did I read about going to work at a resort or something a few months ago? If you can't find a job you can try that crab fishing I see on tv. Then RIU would have a "star".
LOL J/K good luck on a job

Nah, I've never worked at a resort. Me work on a crab boat?? LMAO!!! I checked on that and everybody does drug testing, so there goes that. It's a nice thought though. :)

LOL, I know; I'm just kidding. I have no idea what my GPM is; never thought of timing myself. I've always made a living with my hands; I'm a *very* good artist and a musician so I have very good hand / eye coordination. I am totally reliable and trustworthy, intelligent, good sense of humor. The pic on the right took me maybe 2 minutes or so to trim. That was super lemon haze, a 90% sativa, if I remember correctly, so I left the sweat leaf on there rather than making hash from it. That turned out to be a very good decision because it is incredible smoke. I also don't get too toasted when I work, although I would probably smoke for pain relief in my shoulders and neck.

Our place here is too small for any significant grow op, even a little grow tent would be out of the question. We moved out of a house that was over 2,300 sq ft in Georgia and our little duplex here is less than half of that. @ Little T: we will probably buy us a piece of land near Asheville when NC legalizes pot. I couldn't work in the chicken plant; no habla espano; but I would love to jam with you. Thanks for the well wishes.

im not tryna be a dick, im just curious, but how much would someone pay for someone to trim their weed for them???...i wouldnt shell out more than like 20 bucks an pound, if that.....have u looked into a trade of some sort???...im a plumber and i make bank, maybe an electrician, plus i have a prison record that would make a grown man cry and theyll still hire you if u have the skills and experience

I'm not trying to be a dick either but you wouldn't find anyone that would do the job for $20 a pound. There are lots of people in Cali that have big grows that hire trimmers. When the bud is done it has to be harvested and trimmed and it's a big job if you have a lot of plants. I have lots of skills but I just want to go back to Cali to make some cash and send my growing stuff and music gear up here. Alaska has a lot of seasonal jobs during the spring and summer but a lot of jobs end when the tourists leave, then those people are out beating the street looking for work too. I can get work; that's not a big deal; also, AK pays 85% of your wages for unemployment, so I could live on that until spring, but I can also make some cash doing trimming and not report it.
