Diablo and skywalker hydro SOG grow

this is my first grow. running 2 x 1000w HPS, hydro 4x4 trays, hydroton and rockwool, FloraNova nutes, just trying to get my water to be RO and my lights ventilated. I have a nice cool grow room downstairs with no light coming in but it heats up with one or both lights on. gonna grow 8 plants in each tray. the clones we have are a bit stunted due to waterlogging in the rockwool, hence the switch to hydroton. also getting all the toys such as ppm and pH meters, RO system and fans/ducting... just farming for yield and fun.

Nice! Yeah you def need to get some inline fans and I think when you have both lights on you should put both trays together next to each other so you can have each light going on each other also get some more clones up in that bitch at least 10 Sub'd good luck Im pulling up aa chair for this one.
 
I'm going to move the light and the tray to line up with the other one. then I will turn all the lights and line them up. then I will go from the ac duct to a fan to the lights to a fan to the window. genius. also getting RO, bubblers,

That sounds good! hey I was thinking I was going to put my inline fan near the window so it is sucking the air out the room thru the lights because of stale air and it will keep the room cool to at my ac temp kind of like the opposite what you where saying what you think?
 
you can push and pull air, that much I know. and the straighter the line the better the volume. I think you are saying the same concept. I just talked to my ac guy and he said you could accelerate air from the ac into it and so I'm gonna try that. my grow room would be super cool then, even with two 1000w HPS on for 18 hours...
 
What's the flood schedule? Are you giving them a chance to dry a bit between watering?

Yeah whats your feeding schdule? You should trim 1/3 of the bottom of the leaves on the bottom so the plant can focus on the top part the most but they look to young for that. Those babies dont look to good we got to get them greener and perking up towards the light.
 
I looked at the pics again I think you should trim 1/3 of them asap theres some dead leaves under there too.
 
at 10 am and 10 pm I flood for like an hour. should I change it? I am also using a foliar spray of the nutrients periodically because they seem to like that.
 
the lights come back on at 6 pm. I'll trim, then take some new photos. I'm just debating whether or not to tear off the excess rockwool on some plants and let them root into the hydroton. I also need more hydroton, the bubbler and the RO water machine....
 
Dang I think you have to feed them a little more I use hydroton so I feed them like every 15min for 15min you have rockwool I know the feeding schdule is diffrent because of the rockwool alone holds alot of water, I would sugguest trying every half hour for about 15-20min feeding about 3x's a day you have to check the rockwool and read the plants the rockwool sholud not be dry before you feed them maybe damp just because its not soil hydro you have to feed way more often but ask around because I never use rockwool.
