Air-cooled reflectors and main exhaust into one concerns with carbon filter

Like that? Do filters work like inline like that?

I feel like im being a pain...Lol. Hope not. I appreciate all this, I really do. I'm installing the ducts today so I wanted to make sure I got it right the first time.

why dont you just do this? but have the filter up high in the tent! so you have ducting comeing off the other end of reflecter going up to filter.

Isn't that air going to be hot pushing thru the reflector? And I have 2 fans so I might as well use them. I did see a grow setup like that though.

I'm going with this and imma make sure my reflector is sealed and the filter will be up in the air. I might your consider this design as it seems easiest

I needed to use flex at the reflector so i can move it up and down. Or a table inside the grow that can raise up and down.

This is like your setup...filter>reflector>flex oversized and clipped up when the light/reflector is higher and pulled out during the beginning of grow when its lower>then to the fan and straight out the room

yes ive used acoustic ducting and left it longer so the light can be moved up and down, when you use acoustic or insulated ducting it doesnt droop much when you have it long, normal ducting droops and makes S shape if to long. the table idea is a bit of a hassle so go with the duct, do yourself a favour and go with the acoustic/insulated ducting, for the reason above pluse it makes your fan sound alot quiter and stops the duct heating the room back up.

why would the air be hot before it got to the reflector, this system is the bets for getting 2 birds stoned at once, you filter the air and cool the light at the same time, for the price of one fan, the design gives perfect reason to always buying air cooled lights
