No disrespect intended...it's not a game when you lose a family member. It hits home and it hits hard.
And then when affected family plan something as mournful as a funeral they get protesters with signs telling them god hates fags and god is killing our troops as punishment.
I guess Ryan I don't feel sorrow as much as I feel mighty lucky and proud of our troops. God bless them and the families they are separated from.

i joined after 9/11.....jan 07' to be exact.....and i never heard a soldier complain about going to war! who is accusing these soldiers of complaining about going to war? i'v talked to thousands of soldiers and not a 1 bitched about going.........so why say, "i dont feel sorry for them troops, they knew what they was signing up for"....of course they did!!! ITS THE MILITARY.......anyone who joins and bitches about being deployed is fucking retarded...and i have yet to meet that soldier......i mean your small bitching is obviously expected, being deployed does suck...but to be a lil cry baby bitch about it, i'v yet to meet him/her

I'm sorry but I cannot respect any descion of murder. Even though it does protect me I feel empathetic towards the people we invade. Alot of innocent people slaughtered for revenge. Who would alqueda bomb if we weren't there. certainly not there own people. Those people were fully aware of the consrquences of joining the military. If they joined before 911 there military term started before 911 their contracts would have ended now. They are there because they chose to be.

i really don't want to get into this whole thing but i feel compelled to mention that what typically goes on in a ground battle does not fit the description of murder. even the innocent civilian casualties do not rise to the level of murder unless individual soldiers go rogue. and al quaida bombs their own people daily. i understand the empathy for the innocent but to call soldiers in uniform murderers is absurd.

im all for supporting troops that are actually fighting for us and protecting our rights. but the troops in afghanistan and iraq are not fighting for us, because we dont want to be at war there, our government does. they are not protecting our rights because afghanistan and iraq are not trying to take them away.
if it was a WW2 type situation, then hell yeah id love the troops. but when they sign up for a war that isnt needed, and go kill people for no reason, i will not support them

that was al qaeda not the taliban. the taliban are tribal people that basically control the people that live in their country. when we went over there to fight al qaeda, the taliban felt their homeland was under attack, so they start doing bombings to stop us. so now we are fighting both.

they are not the same. they are different groups that came together to fight against us in their homeland. al qaeda gets an advantage because they hate america, the taliban get an advantage because they are defending their homeland better, and they probably hate america now also. i dont think the taliban had a problem with us before we invaded because we helped the mujahideen get russia out of their homeland in the 80s

not having a clear picture of who your enemy is can greatly hurt you in battle. you can make hasty decisions because you think they want to kill you, so you attack them. but they really just want you out of their country.

al qaeda is another story though. i do see them as a threat, although not a very large one. soviet russia was much more of a danger to us because they actually had a military. these al qaeda guys arent in uniform, and that gives them the advantage of hiding amongst the public. without this, they probably would have been defeated a long time ago.
