They will ship stateside off Ebay, no problem. There isn't any taste left behind. It's not taste that affects the insects but I forget exactly. Keep in mind that Garant is no joke, this is the real deal you want as little contact with it as possible in it's concentrated form. And keep it away from bodies of water since it also harms aquatic creatures. That being said, it's used on various food crop and for most borers and termites. It's nearly impossible to control late stage boring activity and if your plants are nearing the very finish, I would hold back on using it. But if I just noticed damage, spray and pray. Worked for me. I had four neglected girls that I was noticing lots of boring activity on every one in early budding. I applied as a soil drench and foliar. It disappeared immediately. I'm talking you only need 5-10 ml for every 10 gallons of water. It's best use as a preventative product. I have something like 50-55 girls out there and none have insect damage because I applied it early on. Here's some cut and paste work about Garant..................
Imidacloprid the active ingredient in Garant 2F is the longest lasting broad spectrum grub control product available. Both preventive and curative, It has a 10-year record of 90% efficacy on virtually every species of grub, other turf and ornamental pest insects. It even improves turf quality. Low use rate means low risk to you and other non-target organisms.
Garant is a broad-spectrum systemic insecticide that controls insects by both contact and ingestion. It can be applied as a foliar spray, soil broadcast spray, soil injection or soil drench. Garant is systemic and soil applications are taken into the roots and move upward throughout the plant. Foliar applications are absorbed into the leaves but are less effective than root absorption. The root absorption method also increases the residual effect of the product.
Garant insecticide controls both sucking and chewing insect pests. It can also be used as a drench application without specialized equipment for long term control of the same pests in landscape shrubs and trees of any height. Garant excels as a turf treatment for aphids and grubs. Garant controls Aphids, Bristly Rose Slug, Japanese Beetles, Rose Leaf Hoppers, Scale, Thrips and Whiteflies.
Make foliar applications as pests begin to build before populations become extreme. Two
applications at a 10- to 14-day interval may be required to achieve control. Scout and retreat
if needed. Thorough uniform coverage of foliage is necessary for optimal control. Addition of an
organosilicone-based spray adjuvant at a rate not to exceed the adjuvant manufacturer’s
recommended use rate may improve coverage.
Do not apply more than a total of 6.3 ounces of GARANT T&O 75 WSP Insecticide per acre
per year. Do not make more than 3 applications.
Allow 10 or more days between applications.
