i see so many people ask the same question.I brought that up to see where the line is drawn. I think it totally gross.
to me, it seems a roundabout way of demeaning homosexuals as crude.
here is the line: consent and legality.
if the two people are consenting adults, and their actions are legal, why would they not be allowed to get married?
this rids the possibility of pedophiliac marriages, incestuous marriages, necrophiliac marriages, bestiality marriages, and the like that people somehow like to drag into the discussion of whether or not two gay people should have the same liberties as two straight people with respect to marriage.
seeing as how two gay people are citizens just like two straight people, it seems to me to be a deprivation of liberties to let one couple get married but not the other. that is explicitly against the 14th amendment, section 1.
