No, they don't jump out an more than any other fish. They do however die after spawning & get dragged ashore by foxes, bears, sea gulls, rising water etc... There are so many of them they don't all get eaten & hence the dead fish lying on the banks & sand bars.I've heard (from people who visited there) when the fish are ready to die there, they just jump out of the water and rot on shore. Is that true? I've never heard of fish jumping right onto dry land except for in Alaska.
