yeah but alot of people bitch about it being legal cause they cant afford to smoke as much as they would like. to produce quality indoor its still going to cost alot. just like medication costs alot. only differnce is your money will go to sum fuck that you dont even know. at least as of now your money goes to sum fuck that you dont even know and then that fuck spends it in his cummunity.
If it is legalized, on some level anyways, I do believe the prices will drop dramatically. Not sure how much, but they should.

I think it should be legal, just because it is the right thing to do.

Wile I support your general enthusiasm for a worthy cause, America can never pay off the national debt. America currency is a FIAT debt based currency issued by a private lender bank, which in short means ever dollar that exists in the whole economy is owed to someone by someone else plus interest. And what makes it unaddressable is that ever dollar in existence was created with interest attached to it, so the money to pay the interest simply does not exist in the whole money supply because all that exists is the principle (original loaned amount). As such to even try and pay back the national debt would lead to america giving up all of its money, and still being in debt. The last time America paid off its national debt was 1837 under president Andrew Jackson, three monetary systems ago, back when it was mathematically possible to pay it off, back before money was created from debt.

I agree whole heatedly, the price will likely drop to under 500 dollars a ton. (yes ton) most plant commodities like wheat and corn sell for much less however I feel 500 a ton is a reasonable estimate after "the machine" gets going and half of Kentucky and three fourths of cali are giant cannabis fields.

Kentucky has a long state history as a Hemp growing area, and once the growers of cali can buy up big plots of land and go legit huge coops will spring up the likes of which we have never seen, Phillip Morris owns millions of acres in northern cali already to jump into action as soon as they legally can.

But like all things a market will exist for premium products, that top of the line bleeding edge bud will go for many times more money, however i feel it will be nothing compared to what the current values are, more a kin to premium tobacco prices then modern cannabis prices.

Another view on it is the Patenting of Geneo types and the ones that will be OK to grow and the strain that is not. Where as if caught growing a non patent strain you will get nailed. Like Foodinc on Netflix check it if have not. They run farmers out of business or keep them as slaves to the machine via not allowing a farmer to reap his own seed. The Farmer must re-up with new seed from the manufacturer.
Or the services of a seed sorter are now considered illegal acts of Patent violation and that guy loses his lively hood. This place has got Congressmen showing their weiners to college girls while making 170k a year with full benefits and a pension of 90% guarneteed while they decide on what laws and who to lock up. Are we all crazy?

While I agree that America needs to legalize cannabis the title is inaccurate.

"America is fucked... Even if we do legalize weed" is more accurate. "America is fucked" would also have been acceptable. Military based economies are not sustainable, ask a historian.

I have to agree that the cost of military upkeep, not to mention invading everything you like the look of legality be damned, well weed will not cover those expenses :D

You do know that even if every american living within the us is taxed 100 percent of their income it still wouldnt be enough to pay off the debt

it seems that everyone would just always be smoking if it were legalized, however look at amsterdam. the vast majority of people smoking there, are tourists. at least the citizens probably smoke more in their houses, but anyways if it were legalized here i think we would see very similar results besides the first few months or years or whatever it takes for legalization to set in, just because people will be celebrating initially. i know i will

To pay back the entire US national debt, if you cut 80% of Government spending it would take 20+ years...they agreed to cut spending by 1.7% to increase the debt ceiling...its never going to happen.

Plus : The US Military has bases in 63 countries. Brand new military bases have been built since September 11, 2001 in seven countries.

In total, there are 255,065 US military personnel deployed Worldwide.

These facilities include a total of 845,441 different buildings and equipments. The underlying land surface is of the order of 30 million acres. According to Gelman, who examined 2005 official Pentagon data, the US is thought to own a total of 737 bases in foreign lands. Adding to the bases inside U.S. territory, the total land area occupied by US military bases domestically within the US and internationally is of the order of 2,202,735 hectares, which makes the Pentagon one of the largest landowners worldwide

That lot cant be cheap to maintain....

I don't know if you guys have heard, but America has hit the debt limit, at 14.3 Trillion dollars. So as you all know, we're fucked. America is pretty much some what on top of the world right now, with the strongest military force. That might spark up some wars with other countries, while they're looking at us some what vulnerable trying to get our act together. but put that aside. If we legalize marijuana, and tax the fuck out of it, it can maybe easily get us out of debt. Think about it... Being able to walk into your local 7-11 and be able to buy a pack of marijuana cigarettes, or something like that.
Think about understanding the behavior process that led us to this point, lack of involvement of people, we all have a complaisant attitude, yet we have no concept of all that we have control of, we let ourselves become governed, controlled, ever yielding to our own instincts to do what feels right to us. This is the stigma we all face, change is absolutely necessary, we rave and rant about currency, some don't even know, there is no law that states we have to use this form of money, we are able to create our own, yet we do not, as we have given so much power to this one corporation know as the Federal Reserve (which is a private corporation not a form of government), it is so difficult to see so many people living in this delusion, yet wanting something to be dramatically different. When I read people making such biased statements that do not understand simple law I find it troubling, I was there not more then a year ago, ranting about similar things to friends, colleagues, strangers... All we need is a clear understanding that has been hidden away from us for so very long.
