do police harass you when you have your ccw and carry a gun????
shit me bein high might save that person from gettin the clip dumped into them for tryin to kill me which is a good thing cause if you dump the clip you might as well walk yourself to the station and find your cell for lifei'm just curious here. what happens if your licensed for a concealed weapon and MMJ if you shoot and kill someone when baked?
well i guess canadian criminals aren't worth a damn because american criminals will just get a gun on the streets and wipe their ass with the permit application. lol @ gun restrictions keeping guns out of criminal hands. gun restriction only keeps guns from law abiding people, just like cannabis prohibition only stops squares from smoking (people who wouldn't touch the stuff in the first place).OR, now hear me out on this one, stop selling guns to fucking idiots. Hell you need a special permit here in Canada to own a hand gun. If you get mugged here, it'll probably be by knife or just nothing at all. Restrict the fuck out of guns. Only thing a civilian should own is a shot gun or a rifle.
I like cooking roasts in the crock pot! mmmmmm... and cube steak too..really anything in the crock pot is good. even kittens!
well the thing is, these people have to get the guns somewhere. Once they restrict the weapons, the illegal market would explode and eventually gun prices would be so high that criminals (junkies) wouldn't be able to afford it. Then it's just a matter of finding the ones that are out there, which isn't hard at all they're being used in crimes. It's just a matter of time before you get caught.well i guess canadian criminals aren't worth a damn because american criminals will just get a gun on the streets and wipe their ass with the permit application. lol @ gun restrictions keeping guns out of criminal hands. gun restriction only keeps guns from law abiding people, just like cannabis prohibition only stops squares from smoking (people who wouldn't touch the stuff in the first place).
No need for a CCW here - we have the Right to carry anywhere with a few exceptions (court house, bar, fed bldg).do police harass you when you have your ccw and carry a gun????
It would work as well as the War on Drugs and Alcohol Prohibition.well the thing is, these people have to get the guns somewhere. Also you're wrong, in Canada we have pretty heavy restrictions on guns. Gun crime is so uncommon that every time a shot is fired and even if it misses it's on the news. Gun control works if its enforced properly
then why does it work perfectly fine in Canada and other nations? Yes, guns still can be bought illegally but if you're actively searching for these illegal gun dealers (who sell guns to people so they can commit crimes, as opposed to drug laws where there nobody is ever hurt) then you will drive prices up. Simple supply and demand. The aim isn't to eliminate the guns all together, its to slow it down and drive prices up, which works well in drugs and other things. It would work as well as the War on Drugs and Alcohol Prohibition.
it's almost impossible to accurately compare canada's crime with america's crime. gun crime has never been "common" in canada, and because of this there would obviously be a shortage of black market guns. it's got little to do with the law and more to do with the culture. i mean canadians don't even think twice about picking up hitchhikers. it's apples and oranges. buying a gun on american streets is as easy as flashing a c note and a bag of meth and no goofy law is going to change that. guns pour over the border like rain here and guns are deeply woven into the culture going back many generations, crime or no crime.well the thing is, these people have to get the guns somewhere. I do believe "disarming" the middle east would work perfectly fine if they were actively searching for imported illegal guns and actively busting gun deals. Its also not that uncommon. If you watched that old movie bashing america with that fat guy, you'd see that Canada has just as many guns and less citizens. Many people own 5+ guns in Canada. My grandpa has 10 rifles.it's almost impossible to accurately compare canada's crime with america's crime. gun crime has never been "common" in canada, and because of this there would obviously be a shortage of black market guns. it's got little to do with the law and more to do with the culture. i mean canadians don't even think twice about picking up hitchhikers. it's apples and oranges. buying a gun on american streets is as easy as flashing a c note and a bag of meth and no goofy law is going to change that. guns pour over the border like rain here and guns are deeply woven into the culture going back many generations, crime or no crime.
let me ask you this: if gun control works then why don't we campaign to disarm the whole middle east? boom, instant peace, right? it's not about the guns, it's about the culture.
that's sort of my point about the culture. the canadian culture is very docile compared to the middle east or even america. you could give guns to a bunch of tibetan monks and they wouldn't use them either. it's a culture thing, plain and simple. to reduce it to a matter of law is kind of insulting the magnitude of it.I do believe "disarming" the middle east would work perfectly fine if they were actively searching for imported illegal guns and actively busting gun deals. thats why the double tap is taught....one to center body mass and one to the domeI don't think having a gun would've helped much in this situation, from other stories it sounds like the guy was an ex-cop and was wearing body armor.
That's one of many reasons why I love Alaska... no need for a CCW.No need for a CCW here - we have the Right to carry anywhere with a few exceptions (court house, bar, fed bldg).
And honestly, its pretty civil here as well.
have you ever wore one? They aren't comfortable and you can easily kill or rob someone wearing one.People run around with ak's and sawed offs,if by some miracle it dont go through you'll probably end up with broken ribs and collapsed lungs. This is why i think instead of carrying guns everyone should just by BPV (Bulletproof vests) and wear them all the time. You cant mug anyone with a vest, nor can u kill anyone. And if something like this happens (RIP victims) then atleast you have a chance. I am all for guns but some people are just stupid and need to fucking just kill themselves, i don't see why they feel they need to go on a rampage at schools, or public places. And shame on the media for giving these cunts so much exposure and attention, fuck it makes me sick just to see how much effort they put forward when something tragic happens, and cover Humanitarian efforts for like 10sec.
so instead of just the bad guys shooting people, the good guys will join in now?Police investigate California salon shooting:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/13/justice/california-shooting/index.html?hpt=hp_t1
I'm not saying that EVERYONE should carry a weapon, but I have had quite a bit of firearm training and I am very comfortable carrying one. Do I go out everyday looking to be a hero? No, but I would attempt to protect myself in a situation like this and I feel like everyone in that salon would have been grateful if someone managed to take out this idiot quickly. Even if someone attempted to return fire and was unsuccessful at taking him down, it may have been enough to make the suspect flee and at the same time save lives.
These sort of shootings are becoming more and more common these days, and in my opinion, if more people were properly trained and carried weapons it would make some of these people think twice before committing an act like this.
I'm sure some will disagree, but I choose to arm myself as I will do everything in my power to NOT fall victim to some homicidal maniac like this.
Eight people were killed in this incident. May the victims RIP!
so instead of just the bad guys shooting people, the good guys will join in now?
make sense to me.
