It's weirder than that.


Here's a shot of the bud at the top of the plant. Some hairs have turned red.


This is a bud at the very bottom of the plant. This one has a lot of the hairs that have turned red.

That said, I've seen hair color vary a lot. I had one plant that started having red hairs three weeks into flower

Trichs on the bottom have less amber. I took small leaf cutting to look under 30x loupe and found it to only be about 5-10% amber. Trichs along the bottom of the leaf were clear.

Took the plants out of the flower cab so I could flush them and grabbed this shot right before the flush.

Does anyone know why my fem autoflowering cobra plant have male pollen sacs on the top i had it in a hydro set up growing good until the main stem got really weak in the middle in one spot and then fell over so i put it in a rockwool cube and soil could that be the reason

This is a stackable drying rack I made from some PVC and metal fabric. I'm using my new flower tent to start drying in since it's not in use.


Bud from all three plants loaded on the racks.


Here's whats left on the three plants. I'm going to let them flower until the weekend and then I'll finish the harvest.

Convenience. The rack works with the big colas but it also works with the popcorn bud.

Chopped off the rest of the popcorn bud.


Here's a shot of the main colas after four days of drying. Still have a little bit to go. I put the main colas from all three plants on the one rack.

I figure I'll have a final dry weight in about 10-12 days.

They look awesome. Now comes the hard part of just letting them sit around trimmed and in jars but still unsmokeable, keep it up and can't wait for the next one to get started

Shouldn't be to hard, I still have other weed to smoke.



Speaking of jars, my main colas have dried out enough to start the curing process. I'm using clear jars at the start so I can monitor the humidity better. Once I'm happy with the cure, I'll move them to jars that have been painted black and pump the air out. Jar on the left is a 1 gal jar, the one on the right is a 1/2 gal jar.

I am. I take the buds fully out once a day and let the jar air out for a bit before re-packing. I'll keep doing this until I'm happy with the moisture level.

Out of curiosity what does taking the air out do for them? Im guessing you use a canning tool, I wanted to try this but haven't found a canner

I've found it good for long term storage. I've got a smoke report in my sig for some weed that I had stored for 2 years this way and recently found another jar that had been stored for 4.5 years. Both were very smokeable. The 4.5 year jar frankly knocked me on my ass. As for getting rid of the air, I use one of these, http://www.pump-n-seal.com/ which has worked very well.
