Bruce and bullies all over appreciate your support.EDIT: Pardon the rant! I see the troll has been detained ^^;
Shall I tell the anti-pit people something? More people are bitten by small dogs and dogs not classified as 'dangerous dogs'. People often decline to press charges because the animal is deemed cuter. What bollocks. Small terriers especially are prone to outbursts of aggression.
I nearly had my face ripped off at the age of seven by a LABRADOR owned by a close fried of my mother.
I understand there must have been an error in my body language or I failed to respond to his signals now.
To this day I have NEVER had a problem with Akitas, mastiffs, American pit bull terriers, Staffordshire bull terriers, boxers, (well, any molasser) alsatians, Rottweilers, Dobermans... You get the picture. I spent 2 months on a farm with a pack of 12 (Yes, 12!) dogs, 11 pitbulls and one alsatian. When I arrived they didn't know me at all but the whole time they kept me warm when I slept, followed and helped me round up the horses as I worked and offered buckets of affection and love. All the little lapdogs owned by the farmer's wife did was bark, yap and bite visitors.
I'm not saying a pit type never hurt anyone, I'm saying they do not deserve the demonisation.
They are ADORABLE, soft, cuddly, loyal family pets. And while I was working there, they WERE family to me.
That said- thanks to everyone who has posted pics so far :3 They're all sweethearts!! <3 <3

that's my biggest fear, they are great but have such a crazy prey drive. Rabbit or a squirrel and they are outI had one of those. Great, great dog. Left her with a friends when I went to a trade show and they just opened the door and let her out to do her biz and she roamed into the street... Needless to say I'm not on good terms with them now.
You're right about attacking (for malicious reasons, not self defense)No matter what the breed, I don't believe that any of them have instinctual attack mechanisms. I have never in my adult life hit a dog (or any animal) to correct bad behavior. I firmly believe that any dog who turns on someone was maltreated in some way, or was hit, and hit enough that he/she got fed up. Getting an animal to respect and obey you without hitting them is not that hard.
Greatest picture ever!!!
