Hi . I'm fed up with portable ac"s . to much electricity wasted for the amount of cooling. If your thinking of getting one do yourself a favor and save your money. I have seen some window ac conversions where intake air is blown in side or top vents and heat exhausted through back with ducting and fans in order to have them inside grow room. I was wondering if any of you have have seen or done this yourself with a through-wall ac. I don't know exactly how they work, but they have no vents on side or top. the back of mine has a fan on one side of the back and the other side of back has radiator type fins in front of cooper coils. maybe this side would be where to blow intake air in. just a guess as i'm clueless as how they work. any ideas or experience on how to properly duct this type of unit would be greatly appreciated. They are also referred to as wall units or built in air conditioners.
