Spider Mites V.S. Hot Shot No Pest Strips

I am using this product, spare me the lectures. Looking for tips/advise from those that have too. 10' X 10' spare bedroom, length of time in flowering ranges from 20-40 days. Mites found Thurs, no real leaf damage yet, a few scattered mites on some of the plants. Strip placed 5 feet above the floor. Lights and fans have been off for 24 hours, room sealed. Light's and fans to come back of after a 30 hour gas treatment. My questions are these:
Should I leave the strip in the room when lights come back on and temp rises, if yes, for how many hours ?
Or remove the strip when lights come on, and put strip back when the lights are due to go off ? And how long would you continue the treatment ?
Again please spare me your opinion about the product.
For all of Jerry's Kids, a very sweet "Friend of the Devil" :)

if yer venting the room during lights on then take it down and store it in the fridge (sealed of coarse) Eggs will hatch later after you kill the living ones so you pretty much have to keep at them 'till you harvest.
I prefer to use Safers Soap until the last few weeks of flowering so that the mites don't have time ro build up a resitance to the strips.

All right there is hope, i can help.

First try to put a barricade between the other plants nearby with the pest strips. Get a container of table salt and put it on floor evenly for two nights. This will stop them from using the floor as a gateway to move around.

Now purchase azatrol and ladybugs via amazon, about forty bucks for both, the lady bugs will take about ten days to ship.

Now onto conditions. Drop the temp and raise the humidity. A raise in RH of 10% and drop in temps of ten degrees halts their reproductive cycle. Check the bottoms of plants and lollipop them the best you can. Now make a tea out of boiling rosemary, tobacco fresh garlic and dishsoap and boil it in a large pot for four hours to make a more concentrated brew. filter and add habenero sauce to it, Herbal insecticide.

Sweep the salt and start sweeping and mopping everyday with a half ounce azatrol mixed with bleach solution per gal.

If your in veg you can literally soak the whole plant in an azatrol solution, but if your in flower use the natural spray under leaves and remove the top inch or so of top soil and drench the area to kill and prevent upward mite movement. Doing a daily mini drench will also help the RH. Raise the plants on buckets off the ground.

Now onto more drastic measures

Co2 @10000 ppm can and will kill everything. The plant will stall for a day but will survive. If you have access to a tank, Put three garbage liners around the infected plant tie the end at the stem with a snug tie wrap and another at the top with the co2 hose and turn it on for an hour or so.

Time for the reinforcements

Now if the above won't cut it. Predatory mites are the last line of defense, do not get them from amazon, they suck.

I have had the same mite problem and I can say prevention is better than the cure.

.CLEAN AND NO DEAD LEAVES ON GROUND

I will always have ladybugs on my plants.

I hope this helps you and gives you a little peace of mind as it has been a mite fested season for sure.

How long from egg being layed until it hatches ? If I continue the gas treatment during lights off period, shouldnt they be gone within a week ?

Einstein oil has never failed me, as in not one single time in YEARS. Says to use it for 2 weeks, I just spray liberally once and they all die everytime, just make sure you hit the underneath side of the leaves as this is where most of them hang out, spraying only the tops is a good way to have a miss spray.

Tried the no pest strips a year ago after someone on here swore they were the bomb. I had 2 strips in a 5x8 sealed environment (completely sealed, water cooled, etc) and it still didn't kill them even though there was only 1 mother in that room during that time. I gave them 2 weeks, and after watching the mites start to destroy my mother, I decided to go back to the neem. Sprayed it once with neem, they were all gone the next day and the eggs never hatched and I swore I'd never mess with chemicals for mites again.

Thanks Bill, not going to do all of that, just got to get thru the harvest. Gonna knock em back with the strips again if ness.
I know you want no lecture so I'm not gonna lecture, I will say this, 99.8335 percent water and the rest inert ingredients, kills them fucking dead, good luck.

Not going spray them and knock of all the crystals, been there done that. Too close to harvesting the older ones.

LOL LOL LOL, well if you can't spray them what the fuck do you think trimming them is going to do to the trics, unless you plan on flying in with a microscopic laser come harvest day. What fucking sprayer is this you used that was knocking trics off? Was it electric or gas powered?

Well if we are going to toss bullshit around, here.....grow them upside down, it makes the thc drain to the buds.

Sounds like you need a lecture/education on what the fuck it is you are doing. Only two ways a spray bottle is going to knock trics off.....

1. stop watering plants for 30+days til dry as fuck, hold bottle 1/2 inch away and squeeze trigger as hard as you fucking can
2. hit plant violently with spray bottle. Repeat to achieve desired results

um right then, thc isn't water soluble. I've given you the best solution and you aren't taking it, good luck .
See but you know as well as I do how it works. They come here for advice when they have already committed to a paticular course of action. All they want is for someone to tell them "It's going to be okay" and with a gentle, reassuring pat on the back they run back to their 67.443 watts of cfls in a crack jack box with computer fans wired to their xbox play and charge, all while talking to their friends bout how bad ass they are cuz they be growing drugs and shit.

Spady, Where the hell do you get off ? You have know nothing about me, or my grow room. To make blind characterizations seems a bit juvinile, but that's just me.

but since you're so close to harvest I'm wondering why you want to kill them at all, I don't really know what they do first hand but someone told me they parade right up the stalk when you hang the plant.

reading my own statement made me kinda shudder,no one needs a reason to want to kill the fuck out of spider mites, this is why I pass mighty wash on to you.

Thanks, dbkick, for the reply, and the civil manner in which it was relayed. I have been reading about Magic Wash before I posted today about the Hot Shot strips. NPK themselves say's very little about the content. Contrary to some peoples thinking, the Hot Shot strips have good reviews as well.
Funny many people on this site must think there poop does not stink, your not among them.
As far as Spady, well all I can say to you is, ESAD. Wonder if he is smart enough to figure that out ? I well may try some after my Hot Shot try.
Thanks

Let's just say it's a large garden, I have two age groups. The older ones are closer to harvest but still a couple of weeks away. And your right probably right, not a great deal of damage. However the majority have more than a month to go. I have seen in the past how fast Mites can devistate a crop. I can't let that happen and don't have the ability to isolate them.
