Zetas have already been employing tech-guys to track down bloggers, Brown could have been forewarned and revealed himself as a collaborator in return for protection for his info not only regarding Zetas, but also Anonymous.

I'm saying that it's possible. Nothing more.

Think about it, if he knows that the Zeta's know who he is, why risk your life? Why not just admit the gig is up? Knowing that you have valuable intel, and knowing your head is likely to get cut off, why not choose to turn yourself in knowing that there is probably nothing you could be prosecuted for and have your life saved?

Why else would he go public?

I don't think the cartels will attack Americans on American soil, that would bring a whole host of unwanted shit to the game for them, think how Escobar eventually toppled because his gang bombed a plane carrying innocent Americans. DEA doesn't give a shit now, but if Americans are killed it becomes an American problem.

I'd say mr. Browns head is relatively safe.

I give it a month. By then he'll be some backstory in a local newspaper, "Man Found Dead In Several Dumpsters."

To a certain degree, I do agree. But, recently Los Zetas issued a message essentially threatening American bloggers and journalists, saying that they would attack them as well. So, at this point I wouldn't take citizenship as any degree of security - especially if you were outed.

That's why I think he probably knew that he had to do something.

They can easily handle an assassination on US soil but if hundreds of Anonymous members end up being decapitated, come on. The gov is gonna know what's up. ;)

We arent talking about 100's, we are talking about one that happens to live in Texas (where Zetas are known to operate).

And just because the government might know who did it, doesn't STOP it from happening. That's pretty damn evident. There has been numerous events of cartel violence spilling over into the US.

They also said that she carried with her a message from the cartel threatening to kill 10 people for every person named and that they had decided to abandon their plans.
