I have 600 dollars, need advice

other then the seeds and the wing reflector looks like a pretty good deal.... you can put your own setup togeather for close to that if you wanted.....If your a noob it be much easyer to get clones instead of doing seeds......

you will learn more from a DYI experience and probably be cheaper. Buying a complete kit is not a bad thing.

if you do enough research you will understand more
of what is needed. Do not confuse NEED with what everyone/someone else has or says or thinks.

seems you have done some research, your future will entail many hours more.

Just reading from and buying the things on a list will not ensure that your grow will be successful. only knowledge, experience and time
will see you through to a successful harvest. more experience = more bountiful harvest.

Crap, that's $598.00 but you would still need ducting, tape, soil, pots, nutes and seeds.

That's pretty much what I run anyways and I love it - you could easily swap out the lumatek ballast for a cheap 1000w but personally I retired my crappy 1kW HTG ballast in favor of the 600w lumatek and haven't looked back.

thats it you cracked the case.... 1000 watt cool tube 240 bucks, 5x5 tent 109 bucks = 349 bucks. 6 inch inline fan for light 100 bucks = 449 bucks. 4 inch inline fan for exaust with 4 inch dampner 60 bucks = 509 bucks.....
were almost there.
 
Id go with the cool tube hood or the air cooled hood over the straight up cool tube - they cover a larger area more evenly.

And you really only need a single 6" fan to cool the light and provide intake via negative pressure.

$50 on aero bucket cloner

Do more research and don't buy into the Indoor Growing Marketing Hype

why spend $55 on nutrients when a more balanced formula can be had for
$15?

First try and decide how you are going to grow for sure as that will dictate
what you will spend your money on.

Soil has a low start up cost vs. hydro

but with intelligent shopping and a strong desire to learn you can be off to a great start.

Good soil does not need a lot of extra plant nutrients so you probably wouldn't
want to spend your $600 on nutrients geared more for hydroponic applications.

If you're not opposed to used equipment, keep an eye on Craigslist. I got my current setup for $400, which I consider a steal:

1 4X4 grow tent (Secret Jardin, for flowering)
1 4x2 grow tent (generic, for veg/mothers)
2 air cooled hoods with 6" ducting
1 400 watt switchable ballast
1 2 foot 4 tube T5 (Pioneer II) for sprout/veg
1 4 inch can fan (for air scrubber)
1 6 inch can fan (for cooling lamps)

Add to that ducting, nutes, soil and carbon filter, I spent about $600 altogether. I have a cabinet I use for sprouting or clones, depending, but could easily sneak them into the smaller tent.

I also had another old 400 watt HPS I add to the flowering tent for anything over 4 plants, so you're talking around $600-$700 or so for used equipment and an ideal setup, I'm sure if you were vigilant you could score something similar for $500. I grow for one other person plus myself and could easily accommodate another patient. If you have basement or closet space, forget about the tents and save yourself that much more. If you wanna go hydro add in another $200 give or take to build your own setup.

Anyway, there are a lot of failed first timers getting rid of their barely used stuff on Craigslist (at least around here), if you're patient and check regularly (the good deals seem to go pretty quick after being posted) you can score.
